 It's been several moons since Duana's time with Colonel and finding herself heavy with her first foals she goes to the Wishing Star to seek guidance for safe birth and blessings for her unborn. This wasn't a true breeding, so no belly cert. Adair, Adia and K'min are the foals she carries.

He had been a good kind stallion, she had known that much from looking at him. But had been was lost, swallowed whole by grief over the disappearance of his beloved mate even so many years later. She had happened upon him in once such fit of melancholy, done her best to cheer him up with flirting and play - leading him on a merry chase ending in a beautiful flower grove. They dallied and she slipped away once he fell asleep to watch him from a distance. He seemed confused upon waking, probably thinking her a dream. But she noted he seemed much lighter in demeanor and heart, which meant she had done some good. Once he departed she slipped from her hiding place and went on her own way. If the spirits were inclined she might see him again one day.
Moons came and went. She spent much of them on her own, not having run into anyone of real interest. It was just as well - most days she found herself tending to little more than her growing hunger and her need for rest. Her body grew more and more heavy and it wasn't until she got a good look at herself from her reflection in the river that anything made any sense. A belly like hers was right now could only mean one thing. Foals. Twin feelings of delight and panic welled up in her at once. She had no idea how to give birth; how to even be a mother... but at the same time she was delighted to meet these foals. His foals.
So she would get to see him again, just in a very indirect way. That little fact brought joy to her heart.
With no kawani villages nearby she sought guidance from what she figured was the next best source - the Wishing Star. The spirits were supposed to be watching that night so perhaps they could hear her and guide her. It was almost another full turn of the moon before the star was due to rise but she still went up into the hills to meet it. Her even heavier belly made the journey slow but she made it what seemed like a good spot just after dark. She brought a little charm woven from a bit of her mane and some feathers and set it down in the grass. It had nothing of the father in it, but in this case hopefully it would do as is.
"Good evening Star. I come to ask for a blessing, but not the same kind as most." She knew many came here asking for family or children of their own. "I near the time of birth -" By the stars, she certainly hoped so! "- this is my first. I ask for you for a blessing of safety, for myself and my foals to come. I know very little about all of this and my mother and father are too far away to be of any help this time. The father also knows naught of them, so I am alone in this. I ask for guidance, so that they might be born healthy and strong."
"I thank you for listening." There was no way to know if her wish would be answered, but the act alone made her feel just a bit better. So she left her offering in the grass where it had been placed and turned to head back down the hill. There was still time for another quick meal before she settled down to rest for the night. It seemed her foals would not let her find sleep otherwise.
