Charlotte had enough common sense to know this strange building wasn't somewhere she belonged. And the shadowy shapes here didn't take kindly to a hunter wandering through their labs. One by one they seemed to appear, crawling out of hidden holes and tunnels and brandishing weapons that seemed almost alive.
She summoned Anima effortlessly, a blade of ghostly iridescent crystal held by a metal base. She'd taken a great fascination in them, her very own weapon, but for all the examination and research, she had done very little field work in testing Anima's effectiveness in battle. The runes flickered uncertainly in response.
< Can we really do this? > Anima asked uncertainly, their ever-changing voice barely a whisper in her ear.
Charlotte smiled, as if Anima had told an amusing joke. "I've got you, haven't I?"
And in a few short hops and swings, she'd cleaved all the attacks into nothingness.

Behind the mirror is none other than Deus Island as it actually should have been. It confirms that you are trapped within this dream, as you look closer to the mirror. Examining it reveals it is just a mirror, and shattering it well-
- After a while it rebuilds itself. You are stuck here.
The mirror shifts. You can see, was that horsemen meandering the island? They seem to be destroying things, and you are stuck here, unable to save your home, unable to stop them.

There was no mistaking that it was a mirror - it looked very out of place in such a primal place. Only it didn't reflect her, it reflected her new home - the island.
Charlotte approached it with her usual curiosity, even cracking it with the butt of her blade to see if something of vital importance laid on the other side. The shards picked themselves up and reformed again. At this, Charlotte absentmindedly bit her lip in thought.
The island had movement now. Humanoid creatures much like the shadows she'd just fought through. They were swarming the island and destroying everything in their path. But if they were there - then where was here?
