Basina Marigold ════
════ Female // 16 // Orphan
Heiress to Antigone Noble ward of Dixon
Lady Marigold looked out at the army, probably a few hundred, less then a thousand though. She had hardly gotten word of Solidon's threat to attack from a guard on the boarder before she had seen them crest of a hill. Well... a flicker of a frown appeared on her face for a moment. She was pretty sure that Dixon knew of this though she had no proof, it was just a gut feeling "Well... ******** you to" she whispered as she raised her bow, notching an arrow and aiming as best she could. They had only been able to gather a few men, maybe two hundred at the most on her side. This was going to be.... Basina shivered slightly....Difficult.
Basina aimed as best she could at one of the men as they marched, she pulled the bow string until her fingers ached and she held until her arms felt heavy, but she would wait until the were close enough before she loosed the arrow. She watched it sail though the air and she lowered her arms "Ready!" she ordered and looked at the man that was acting general on her behalf, the pull off a couple hundred bows could be heard and the man gave an order to loose the arrows. Basina would wait until the arrows flew before she would transformed into the tiny phoenix she was and followed them, looking for the leader.

Argos rode atop a black stallion at the back of the army, the family sword Sakura, held tight in his hand. He looked forward and saw the measly force that was assembled, it wasn't like he could expect much, they were silk makers after all, the whole culture of Solidons neighbors was that of a delicate nature.
He smirked slightly as he saw the arrows begin to fly, his smirk vanishing as his men seemed to have been caught off guard, of the two hundred arrows that reigned down like hail upon them, more then half hit, half at least were fatal and the rest found a way between joins in the armor, but the fighters of Solidon were well trained, only those that gurgled on the blood filling their mouths made any sounds as the men brought their shields up for protection and marched on, swords now drawn. The Soldiers of Solidon Marched in unison, making the ground vibrate beneath them. The heavy sound of the Zhangu would sound every other second, steadily as the hearts of the soliders beat in unison with it, A high pitched but equally low sound came from somewhere, a war horn. As soon as it was blown the men of Solidon brought swords up between the cracked between the separation of shields, those in the second line did the same, third line brought of spears while the last two lines readied their bows to loose the hail back at them.
Lady Marigold looked at the battlefield from above and circled back around, screeching loudly despite her small form and about six people transformed into a vast array of Phoenix's to bare down on the Solidonian forces, crashing into them as fast as they could from so farm away before swooping back up as the rest readied another round of arrows, the people in the front switching to swords. It was obvious from first glance that the Solidon swords were better, but Antigone would just have to endure.
Basina looked around and found a man on a black horse, he was one of the few actually riding and by how far he was in the back she was certain that he was the man that was calling the Shots. Basina screeched again and folded her wings, swooping down and attacking him as best she could, flapping her wings in his face as she used her beak to peck at his eyes and her claws to scratch at his face

Argos though tempermental was no idiot, he saw the transforming phoenixes as the swooped down, taking out a good ten plus people with each blow and he grabbed the warhorn he had at his side and blew it three times. The fifth line of men, the one that held back, took off their helmets and sprouted leather wings and scales, but Argos had forgotten to look at the sky. The first attack, the beak pecking at his eyes was hard to deflect, the wings hitting him and causing his head to bounce around as he fumbled with his sword, lifting it up and using it to swat at the tiny phoenix "Get off!" he yelled as he felt the claws run across his face as he brought a hand up. The stupid brat was ruining his face! Argos opened his mouth only to get the taste of feathers and he bit down hard and tore back.
Basina let out a crow of pain as she was trapped in close with the leader of Solidon. She felt pain lance though her side as she felt the sword cut at her body but she didn't let up until she felt teeth sink into her and rip out her feathers and rip. The pain turned the world red for a moment before she managed to jerk backward, but the damage was already done. Basina flew a few feet away and returned to human form, her blonde hair fell messily around her shoulders, her side was bleeding from the sword attacks. Basina raised her arms and notched another arrow, shooting it at him and grabbing another, waiting a few seconds before loosing the second as well.
The General atop Antigone's walls shouted orders to the small force below, unlike Basina they seemed to be doing rather well, focusing more on the middle of the army and taking them out as they filled out the missing spots.

Argos blinked rapidly as the world returned to view as the bird moved away. He looked around in confusion and felt something reverberate though his armor and he looked down, his horse letting out a loud neigh in pain as it reared up and threw him backward.
Argos removed his hand from the reigns and placed it on the horse, tossing himself backward just before the horse went catapulting though the warriors before them. He saw the girl beginning to load another arrow and he readied Sakura to deflect it but instead the arrow flew into his shoulder just between the hilt and the blade. Argos pulled on the arrow and ripped it out just before he dropped down onto his stomach, his body held up off the ground by his fingers. The Prince tilted his head slightly, his golden iris taking up the white of his eyes as the pupil elongated into a slit. He pulled a leg underneath him as his skin started to take on a scaled texture and turn green just as feathers exploded though the back of his armor, tearing it off as he launched himself at the Heiress of Antigone, his body changing into that of a snake.
His fangs aimed to bite at the woman as he then moved passed her, his body getting larger and larger as he circled her until finally his two hundred foot body, coiling in circles around the woman, ended in a tail. Argos still had arms and clawed fingers that dug into the ground, his tail sliding across the ground, people screaming as dozens where crushed under his half phoenix- half draconic form, the bodies sliding beneath his scales as some of the men were turned into an unrecognizable paste. Argos let out a strange hiss that seemed to come from several different portions of his body just before he launched himself at Basina with his clawed arms aiming for her face.
Basina managed to jerk out of the way, landing flat on her stomach just before Argus could catch her. Her eyes going wide as her long blonde hair fell into her face...Holy s**t...Holy s**t...Holy s**t. Basina's mind was racing along with her heart and her body shivered from the fear. Once she looked up and saw the coiling body of what looked like a serpent with wings Basina wanted to vomit, the blood that was scraped across the ground making her pale, if that thing was smart and used its tail to send her flying she would probably be crushed from the momentum.
Just as Basina was about to get up she screamed in pain and flew several feet into the air before landing on her side, hearing a crack from within her body and white hot pulsing started at her shoulder. Tears stung in her eyes and her lips trembled "Dixon were are you?" she looked around, grass stains on her face as she rolled her shoulder on the ground and heard a sick crunch as it popped back into place, causing those tears that had welled in her eyes to release. Gripping her bow that she had managed to hold onto despite the attack she reached back and felt for an arrow, her hand grazing some, she had maybe four more. Basina loosed an arrow to early, her shoulder crying out in pain. She tried again, looking up at the face of the ugly creature and loosing another. She had three arrows left and with every second the pain in her shoulder became harder to handle as she felt her eyes blur with tears.

Argus let out a hiss that almost sounded like laughter at the little girl that attacked him, it was almost cute the way the first arrow simply bounced off his scales. He moved in closer to her, feeling over confident as he felt the second arrow lodge itself in between two scales but draw no blood. Argus drew himself in closer so as to be less then a few feet from her and stuck out his snake like tongue, wrapping it around her bad arm and pulling his tongue back in an attempt to pull it back out of socket. His eyes locked onto her face, waiting for the pain to take hold as he brought his claws to one of his fingers and sliced it open, bringing it over the girls back and letting his toxic blood drip onto the back of her neck.
Basina Screamed in agony when she felt the tug on her arm his tongue digginng into her flesh and causing the frail girls blood to drip from her arm. She wanted help! she needed it! She felt her shoulder popping and something tear inside just below the flesh and she screamed so loud she felt like her lungs were going raw "Dixon! Dixon! Help me!!!" she cried out as she felt one last crack and she couldn't feel her arm anymore as she sobbed, her tear filled eyes managed to catch the hideous creatures hand as it started to cut its finger. Basina didn't know what it was doing but whatever he was planning she was sure it would hurt her. She didn't want to give it that chance as she grabbed an arrow from its quiver and started to stab at Argos' tongue, trying her hardest to get away, moving her body out of the way just enough so that the blood didnt land on her skin but on her leather armor, but she didn't know that it had started to eat away at it as she kept stabbing him with the arrow tip.

Argos let out some strange bastardization of a laugh just before he felt the pricks against his tongue and he reared back, letting out pain feel roars as blood squirted from his mouth, half of his tongue still wrapped around Basina's arm, but no longer pulling on it as he brought his arms up to his mouth, hot tears rolling down his face as he whipped his tail at her, first aiming for her side and then aiming for her head. He wanted this woman dead! It hurt to even breath now because of this stupid child!
The Heiress of Antigone felt the pressure on her arm fade as the winged snake like creature pulled away. Her body was shaking as she slumped to the ground and she pealed the tongue off of her arm, blood flowing from the wounds it had created and a spiral bruise already forming on arm. She had forgotten that she had been fighting Argos, The Army behind her screaming as some were crushed, others throats slit, some managing to fight back as the general had managed to mount Argos' horse and was slashing his way though the enemy "Basina!" he roared out, trying to get to her as he tried to fight off an enemy phoenix that had just ripped him off of the horse.
Basina was about to scream for her general when she felt pain slam into her rib cage and she went flying, hitting one of the large creatures coils before falling back onto the ground, rolling onto her back just in time to see the tail slam hard into body, she heard a large crack and pain burst though her ribs. All she felt was pain, her legs ached, her lungs burnt, her ribs felt like they were trying to claw out from inside of her with each breath, her right shoulder pulsed in agony and her left hand throbbed from pulling a bow. She tasted wet iron mixed with salty tears in her mouth, snot dripping from her nose and dripped down her face. Everything hurt. It hurt to move, it hurt to breath. Why was she still alive? Basina saw her brothers faces flash before her eyes for a moment... She saw her father lead down from the wooden stage the people had erected for him, she saw her brothers fighting the guards that had tried to restrain them, pushing them into the people that had come to see her fathers speech. She didn't want to fight anymore! She wasn't conniving like her stepmother, she wasn't brave and eloquent like her father, she didn't have her charisma and brawn of her brothers. Basina let out a broken sob of pain as she breathed, raising her good hand up for an arrow but then stopping, she couldn't pull her bow anyway.

Argos pulled his hands away from his face to look at the blood that covered his hands, his own blood. How was he going to eat with half a tongue! Argos glared at Basina as he used his tail once again to hit her from the side and then from above.
