After everything that happened in Mirrorspace, there was a part of Mimi that never really wanted to go back in there. For some reason, it seemed to be cracking. Was it breaking apart, or was this supposed to happen? In that final room, others had found crystals. They had been hidden from them before, but was not revealing themselves. The question that she couldn't get off of her mind was why.

The question felt like it plagued her. She couldn't concentrate very well on school. Whenever she tried to work on her car some more, her mind was elsewhere causing her to forget to do small things that made her need to start over. Over all, it was getting frustrating and the only thing she could do was face it head on. One evening, when she was tired of fighting off the questions, Mimi had powered up and walked through the large mirror in her room. There had to be something more to learn.

Mimi had made her way back to the common room. She looked at the large crack that she and the others had explored last time. This time, the Senshi wanted to go through the other, original one. It's not like she hadn't been curious before - the newer one was just easier to traverse through. This other one seemed to have grown larger once again and was a tight squeeze, but still manageable. Her dress got torn a bit on the bottom as she made her way in, but she got in.

The room she found herself in was full of more cracks, some small and others quite large. "Hmm... Which direction should I go in?" It was less of a direction and more of a choice of which crack. Mimi looked at the crack she had just gone through and tore off the dangling piece of her dress. Hopefully that would repair itself magically next time she powered up. For now, she needed it as a marker to how she'd get back to the common room.

The super Senshi walked around the room, feeling the cracks with her fingers. They all felt the same until she got to one that felt colder than the rest. The feeling made her shiver, but maybe that's just what she was looking for? Mimi ripped off another piece of her dress and hung on the bottom of the crack and stepped through. At first, all Mimi could think of was the cold that was seeping into her body, then she actually looked around and admired her surroundings.

The room was filled with mirrors like other parts of Mirrorspace. However, this time it seemed like the room had been cracked for a while. Mimi let out a sigh of relief, glad that there would be no glass flying at her this time around. She approached a mirror that was closest to her on the left and touched a large piece of glass with her hand and ran her fingers around the decorated frame. It felt saddening to see something so beautiful in shambles. "Hopefully what ever's wrong will get fixed soon, right?" She spoke to the mirror before turning around to examine the rest of the room.

Like the journey they made as a group, this one also resulted in a room with some crystals. There were different ones scattered around the floor, but they seemed ordinary. Were they originally part of a mirror or something even more grand? She couldn't help but wonder how they got there in the first place. Mimi was careful not to step on and possibly break any of them, although some seemed to be in pretty bad shape already.

Mimi couldn't help but wonder, did the crystals shatter from something larger that caused all the cracks in the rooms? The idea seemed plausible and she'd have to mention it to someone higher up later. One large cracked may have caused a ripple of other smaller ones. Her mind was engrossed in the idea and Mimi didn't notice something strange until she hit a white floating crystal with her forehead. "Wait... what?" The other crystals seemed to be lying on the floor while this one was... in the air? The small hit had caused it to move forward in the air. "How peculiar."

She followed the crystal and approached it slowly this time. Mimi reached out with her hand and grasped it gently. The crystal seemed to have no weight. It made her want to question physics, but then again, she had magic, so something magical was definitely behind this. Mimi moved the crystal in one hand and noticed that no matter where she put it in the air, it would still float. She cupped her hands behind it and blew some air at it, causing the crystal to float right into her hands.

"Acubens will probably love to add this to her book!" Mimi had to go see her for her decoding lessons anyways. She took the crystal and put it inbetween her chest, tucked into the bodice. Mimi walked around the room again, making sure the crystal stayed in place. There still was no indication to why anything was happening, but maybe the crystal was a piece of the puzzle. The DMC just had to place it together now.

Satisfied with the outing, Mimi looked for the pieces of her fuku and stepped back out of the cracks until she was back in the common room. She pulled out the crystal and experimented in the room with it, making sure its abilites wasn't a fluke in that one specific room. It did the same and she tucked it back into her bodice and walked back through the mirror to her room.
"Whatever happens next will be including this." She pulled out the crystal and let it gently hover a few milimeters on her table before powering down again. There were times where she couldn't help but stare at it, but at least, for now, her mind was satisfied.
