No one could hinder Lucida from finding her brother. While wandering around, the demon heard an unfamiliar voice talking to her but it wasn't important. Roman was. The island covered by the massive tree looked really strange, the shadow created by the large canopy layer made the entire area dark. In addition, it felt oddly empty and quiet.
The more she stayed on the island, the more she felt it resembling a huge cage. Besides her, she hardly saw somebody. Occasionally she could make out someone far away, when she got closer, Lucida felt disappointed neither of them was her brother.
Horsemen, she didn't knew much about them, they seemed to be pride creatures. While they harvest FEAR from humans, the horsemen hunt humans for FEAR. Humans were cattle in their eyes. The demon rolled her eyes, she wasn't sure if that concept was true or false. They demons, talked humans into signing contracts. To demons, humans were important existence, Lucida wondered if horsemen's way of hunting would make humans extinct one day.
Something interrupted her train of thoughts, shadows lurking caught her attention. They meandered at the edge of the island, outside the edge was grey abyss. "Jack." She swore, if Roman was there, she guessed he would frown at her. She missed him so much.
Paying attention of where she stepped on, Lucida walked along the edge of the island and reached the lighthouse. In thick fog, the light from the structure seemed to guide them.
She was wrong, it was a trap. Waiting her was a shadow, their silhouette suggested they wore a coat and they were carrying a weapon which didn't look like a scythe. Hunter, that was how Amityville lecturers told them. A dangerous group of armed humans which would craft them into sentiment weapons.
Lucida giggled, "Want to make me into weapon? No way." She gave them a heavy hit and as they dissipated, she felt a sharp pain.
