He felt sick. Numb. Where was he? What was he supposed to be doing here? Shiki peered around, half hiding his face behind his soft tails. He couldn't remember what he had been doing, not clearly. There was something about butterflies. He liked butterflies so.. was he chasing one? It wasn't clear.

He got halfway to his feet and looked around more, one hand now on the ground as he tried to figure this place out. He had never been here before, that was all that was really clear to him, actually he didn't know where here was.

He finally got up and staggered around in a loose circle, ending up facing... An angry looking horseman. Why was it mad at him?

Salem quirked an eyebrow looking at the fox boy. He had no idea why it had came here but it was kind of cute. He curled his lips into a smile. "Hey, want to come be my pet?"

This wasn't going to be good. Salem didn't seem to care what Shiki thought.

Shiki fluffed up a bit, his large ears flicking around trying to sense a way to get out of the situation he had found himself in. It didn't seem that the horseman wanted to hurt him as much as capture him for some reason and his first thought was to run away, but there didn't seem to be an 'away' to run toward. "Leave me alone!" He yelped.

Salem just laughed and kept on heading toward the cute little fox boy. It was upset now but that would change fast.

With no other choice Shiki did the only thing he could. He turned around, extended claws and narrowed his eyes. "I said.. LEAVE ME ALONE" with the yell came his innate feral side.

Okay this was going really bad for him. Shiki yelped in pain as he danced away from the grabby hands that seemed able to hurt him more by squeezing than his own claws could deal damage. He frowned and called up his foxfires to try and dampen any hurt.

Using his foxfire shield he was able to deflect some of the damage that was done to him. It was still enough to cause him to stagger weakly, he felt sure he wasn't going to make it for much longer.

Salem was getting a bit miffed. The fox boy was hurting him instead of just coming along. Grabbing and pinning him down was not working. He was going to have to knock him out. He gripped his blade and moved toward the boy intending to finish him.

Salem 3/30 (-1 auto)

He missed. Shiki had missed completely. He wailed in pain and crawled away the horseman's blade knocking him nearly unconscious. He looked up with pleading eyes, but saw no mercy there. This seemed like it was a forgone match. He was going to end up some kind of weird pet or something.

He staggered to his feet to make one last try of this. He didn't want to die here.

Shiki groaned and staggered to his feet after being knocked down again. He wiped his nose which was bleeding badly and looked at the horseman. He didn't know what to do now. This was it for real. If he missed he was dead.. or something. What happened to Kitsune when they died?

Luckily he didn't have to find out. He looked up and let out a few yips of pain, not sure what to do now. He was in a bad state but he was alive.
