Mustang arrives at the cell doors marked 34 and 35 with the 34 crossed out that Lt. Hawkeye was guarding. With a nod from him she opens the cell door allowing him in. Mustang enters the cell and examines the chimera to find that its not Edward. The chimera is female and does not hold any of Ed's features. As he continues his examination Mustang discovers a collar with the marker of number 34, which leaves him wondering where 35 is. As he is about to make his exit of the cell to question the lab assisstant on where the missing number is hears a growl come from the darkest corner of the cell. Number 35 is still in the cell.
As the creature emerges from the darkness Mustang sees it is another chimera this time he knows its Edward, the chimera's human features are unmistakable. Edward doesn't seem to know him though as he attacks. Mustang must bring the boy that he believes is still in the creature to his senses. If he can, can he separate the animal from the man or is it better to kill Edward and save him the agony?

Alphonse had reported Edward missing 4 months, 2 weeks and 3 days ago. In that time there had been n o sign if the young alchemist. At the current moment the army was storming a lab, it seemed mostly abandoned and that suited Lt. Hawkeye just fine as she stood guard near a cell door. She was at the end of a fairly long hallway with cell doors on either side every few feet. The place gave the Lt. the creeps not that she was willing to admit it. The whole building gave off a very evil and forbidden vibe so Riza didn't much feel like facing an enemy at the moment. Looking through the cell doors it hadn't been hard to see why the place seemed so forbidden and evil, in many of the cells lay dead or dying Cimeras all fusions of animals only. The cell she was guarding however held a dead chimera this one holding human features on what she could make out of the partially decaying creature. Not trusting anyone but herself she had stood guard and sent the solider who had traveled with her after the general.
The Lt. hoped for everything the creature laying dead in the cell was not Edward, she was unsure that Alphonse would be able to handle it if it was. Looking up at the cell door once more the Lt. puzzled over the numbers on top. Number 34 and 35 but 34 was scratched out; what did it mean? The sound of rushed footsteps nearing the hallway broke the Lt.'s thoughts and she saluted as the General reached her. "Sir." she greeted.

The man gazed at the grim place, this place reeked of death and pure evil. It was foul smelling, he didn't like this one bit. The sign that was given to him when Edward was missing he had a pending investigation. He wanted to find him, it hadn't been long since they were reunited about six months about and so he was with them for 2 months before missing four months ago. He had even promoted Ed in the ranks, so he was able to serve him again. He wanted him back! He had all his men infiltrate the lab, having them go ahead of him.
He reached into his coat pocket, grabbing out his gloves just in case. It was strange he hadn't used them in forever, not since Edward's return from the other side of the gate. He managed to catch up seeing his Lt. Seeing her saluting to him, "At ease Hawkeye...What's the status?"He asked.
Roy gazed around seeing dead Chimeras...whoever this person was, is a sick b*****d! This was one of the most forbidden alchemies besides Human transmutation. Seeing the woman shift to at ease stance now.

Hawkeye nodded and relaxed as Mustang to her at ease. "We have searched all cells but this one, everything seems to be dead and all but this cell contained chimeras of purely animal orgin. This cell however seems to contain a chimera made with a human. There are however two numbers above the door which makes us believe there are two but we can only see the one. Seeing as there was the rumor of this group capturing Edward we thought it might be him and you would like to confirm." Hawkeye replied.
She didn't think the group of achemist running the location had been able to reach the cell in the time they had raided it. The chimera in the cell she could see looked like it had been dead longer than the animal ones they had passed on the way to this cell. The smell was a bit naseiating but she didn't show it. What bothered her more was the chance that the dead chimera could be Edward.

The General nodded, accepting her answer. Luckily he had brought a lantern with him, he did a light snap which sent a small spark of fire as he lit it. He needed this, to confirm if it was true or not?! The ravenette had a hard time seeing since he only had one working eye. The other eye he was completely blinded. He didn't want others to see this and he hid it under his black eye patch.
Roy gazed over at the cell she was standing in front of and flashed the light in. He gazed at the animal like figure. This didn't look like Edward at all?! He sighed, as he was kind of glad that it wasn't. It would break his heart to see his favorite subordinate like this! He could tell Hawkeye wasn't looking to well by how pale she was getting! Who could blame her it smelt like decay! "I want the others to detain this, poor creature"He said.
Gazing his dark eye over to the other cell next to it? But why was the number etched off?! He shifted seeing pitch blackness?! Squinting a bit more and straining his eye, he peered with the light at the next cage. His eye widened! Seeing a familiar figure in front of him and it looked like Edward! "Ed...ward?!"he said, as he was in total shock.

The creature hidden deep within the shadows listened intently as things conversed at the door. It did not sound like the beings that had created him so it left the creature cautious even as the door opened and a being entered checking over the one that had been paired with him. Fur on its back raised in a threatening posture even though the one that had entered the cell couldn't see him. The creature wanted the being to leave the other alone even if she was dead, she was not to be touched. A deep growl wound its way up through its throat when the being stood and peered into the darkness towards him.
The creature seemed unafraid even though it knew it had been seen and the thing seemed surpised by its prescence. The creature stepped forward into the light allowing the being to finally see him fully. Golden fur graced most of its body as it walked on all fours, like the one on the ground it was easy to see it had been melded with something of a canine possibly a wolf. There were spots of blood on its muzzle and in other parts of it fur, but past that it was quite easy to tell which human the creature had been melded with. There were distinct features in the Chimera that made it easy to spot what was left of Edward Elric. The creature was starving; its ribs and pelvis bones jutted out starkly from beneath its skin and its spine was a prominent, almost skeletal ridge, yet it seemed to not have food in mind as it took another step forward snarling at the General once more.
Riza stiffled a slight gasp when Mustang peered further into the cell seeming to confirm that the dead chimera was not Edward and found what they had been looking for. "Sir..." she warned cautiously as Edward turned Chimera stepped forward in a threatening posture.

Roy noticed that the boy had been fuzed into a more canine creature? He couldn't make out what kind of canine? Maybe a wolf? He could see how the other was slowly dying a painful death. Being straved to death was one of the most painful ways to go, since the other couldn't free himself and get food. He was stuck! Hearing his snarl... He stepped forward, showing no sign of fear, he was actually heart broken. The man he had been waiting to find wasn't there anymore...He was this Chimera. Tears fell from his face, he placed the lantern down. Seeing the beast had every intention of killing him. "Lower you weapon, Lt."He said.
Seeing her look in confusion, she must think he was crazy. If he could? Maybe there was a chance of bringing the real Edward back? Was there even anything left? He didn't know unless he tried?!
He gave off that air that he had no intentions of hurting Edward, "Do you remember me? Fullmetal?...Its me Roy"He said, in a soft gentle tone. He was sure he was probably the last person the blonde wanted to see. "I said lower your gun"Mustang ordered.

Hawkeye watched her gun drawn as the creature moved closer seeming to size them up. She could see Edward in its feature but he didn't seem to recognize them and it made her ache. If he had been lost to the alchemy they would have no choice but to kill him. Not that that looked like less of a choice than what he had had locked up in the cell with the other dead chimera. It would almost be a mercy to kill him now and she trained her gun on Edward just as Mustang ordered her to lower her weapon. Turning her head she blinked in confusion at the general. Surely he could see as she did, that this was not Edward. Not the Fullmetal they had worked with.The second order had her lowering her gun hesitantly but she did. "Sir?" she questioned almost at a loss for what too do.
The creature watched the two beings in the room. It could smell the sorrow from them both and it confused it enough that the other part of it. The part that had mostly given up stirred to life. The creature snarled as if to force that part back down, but that only seemed to rouse it more. Enough so that it too looked through their eyes to see what it saw. Almost as soon as the other part of it could see it was pressing for control trying to urge the creature that the beings before them were friends. That they would not hurt them, not like the others. It urged the creature that they would help, ease the pain and hunger. For a few moments the two sides of the chimera warred against each other, showing outwardy in growls and head turns, until Riza lowered her weapon and the creature conceeded that maybe the other side of its being could be right and settled enough to let it have some control.
The Chimera's posture softened after Riza had lowered her weapon and the growling stopped. Then after a few moments later it sat and seemed to try and work something out in its mouth. "R..r...ro...roy." it finally grit out with a whine. It seemed like whatever had happened to the Chimera it hadn't seen the need to try speech in quite awhile. Now that it needed to it was harder than before and this frusterated both sides of it that it let out another growl though this one more frusterated than threatening.

The ravenette noticed it was fighting with itself? He could tell Edward was fighting this and the beast was going against what it wants. Seeing the canine creature stopped growling at them now. Watching his every movement, seeing him sit down, it looked like it was trying to speak.
He then noticed he was in so much pain, his eye widened, again hearing him speak to him, saying his name. Getting down on his knees he tears continue to fall from his face. "Yes, Edward...We are friends..."He sniffled a bit, quietly. He then began to remove his blue jacket uniform. From the lack of fat on it's body, it was shivering. "Everything will be alright"He said, gently. He went over carefully not to spook him. "Don't push yourself. Let's get you out of here. I know your in pain"He said, shushing him kindly. He placed the jacket over him, he may or may not remember him. "Hawkeye, quietly and carefully walk out, We got what we came for we are taking him home"He said.
He at least hoped the blonde would recognize his scent and see him as a friend at least. Mustang for one was in love with the other. Not that he would ever admit to it.

The chimera whimpered as it watched Roy cry and the man go down to his knees. The chimera stood whimpering in distress though from the strain on his body or the sight before him. It took a step towards Roy as the man spoke sniffling. "Fr...rie...nd..." the chimera spoke bobbing its head in a nod. "Ed.... fri...end." it continued as Roy removed his jacket causing the Chimera to pause in its step unsure. The animal side grew cautious while the human side understood. It was a constant war though between them, the chimera too tortured over the last long while. It wasn't even sure how long it had been there. Still it stayed put as Roy approached carefully, the animal realizing that the man was not meaning to be a threat. "Hurts..." the chimera replied when Roy told it not to push itself and that he knew his pain.
As the coat was placed over the chimera it moved into Roy, golden eyes closing for a moment as if both the human and animal side recognized the safety the man promised in that moment. He didn't move as Roy spoke with Hawkeye, she following his direction to carefully remove herself from the room sheathing her gun as she moved. "Would you like the car brought around sir?" she asked the general.

The wiped his tears away, he couldn't believe himself, the fact he had been crying in front of them. He was glad he won over the blonde's trust now. He wasn't sure if he could help him! He wasn't sure if this was permeate? But he wanted to help! He was happy to hear friend from the other. "Yes, Edward I am your friend"He whispered. Hearing the other mentioning it hurts and he frowned. "I know, Shh..."he whispered, as he pet the others head gently.
Once the other moved into him and he hugged the other, trying to comfort the other. Though he felt like he was also comforting himself!
Hearing the woman he gazed over his shoulder he nodded, "Please, Lt"He said. "We are going to bring you somewhere safe"He said. He didn't want the military to know the truth, this was a secret, that was going to be kept with the three of them. "Want help?"He asked, the chimera, not sure if the other had the actual strength to get into the vehicle.

The chimera ducked his head a bit as Roy moved to pet him. Sitting there as he was pet then hugged he let out a shuddered huff of a breath. Safe and warm despite being hungry but the human side knew that Roy would fix that too when he had a moment. When Roy promised to take him some where safe the chimera bobbed its head again in seeming understanding. "safe..." it grumbled before pulling away from Roy and moving towards the sound of clicking heels returning.
Hawkeye left as soon as Mustang confirmed his wish to have her bring the car around. She was gone for a few minutes leaving Roy with the chimera believing that they would be alright for the few minutes. Therefore she was startled when the Chimera met her at the cell door drapped in Roy's coat. If she had known how stable the chimera was she might have found it funny how big the coat looked on the creature. Much like the normal Edward would have if Roy had given the blond his coat. Seeing as she didn't know the situation she stopped in her tracks and looked to her superior for instructions showing no outward sign of discomfort. The chimera however could smell it and gave a soft growl but did nothing more than that besides look to Roy as if to ask if he was coming.
When Roy moved along with Hawkeye the chimera followed walking next to them still wearing the coat. The chimera was quiet while walking until they reached stairs. Moving up the first couple seemed okay but the more he moved up the longer it took him. The more noise he made as well, giving soft whines as he stepped up with his disporportioned limbs. By the time they reached the car the chimera merely sat down as Hawkeye opened the door. It contemplated the door for a moment before standing up and putting its front paws in the car and shifting as if going to jump. Yet after a moment the chimera deceided that didn't seem like the best of plans and merely sat down again. "Stubborn as ever..." Hawkeye muttered sounding slightly amused and the chimera gave a soft growl to her words.

Having heard his soft growls, pretty much asking if he was coming he gotten up from the ground and he dusted himself off. He followed the other, seeing Riza meeting them. The other seemed okay walking, until they reached the stairs. Seeing him struggling to get down since his proportions are off. He wasn't use to this and he figured this would happen.
It was a good thing they made it outside to the car, he sighed. Seeing Edward looked frustrated! Trying to hop up into the car, he saw the other give up. "I know you might not like this...But the faster we can get out the faster you can get food"He said. He reached down scooping the medium size canine in his arms. The other was rather light due to being under weight. He helped him in the car in the back seat. He planned on sitting in back with the other as Hawkeye drove.
"At least that much hasn't changed"He said, to Hawkeye's comment. He instructed her to go back to his place, it was the place he can ensure the absolute protection for Edward. He always made that the blonde was his responsibility which is true.

The chimera flailed for a moment when Roy picked him not having really expected it. He settled after a moment however seeming to accept the hold. When he was settled into the backseat he moved over to the window to look outside. His first sight of it in months and the chimera stuck his nose against the window. Hearing the general say that they were heading back to his house the chimera glanced back to Mustang as Hawkeye got into the drivers seat.
"Safe?" the chimera questioned. It was like the human part of the chimera knew that the military had often been in and out of Mustang's life. He did not know if that extended to the man's house but he knew if it did he would be potentially terminated as a abomination. That thought had the chimera giving a growl before it stuck its nose back at the window.

"Of course, Fullmetal...I mean Edward"He said. It was out of habit to remain professional with his subordinate but things have changed. Their relationship isn't the same anymore. "Safe...The military won't find you there. Plus I don't want them getting their hands on you"He said. The man had power, he was almost one step away from being Furher himself!
Gazing over to see the other looked curious and was staring out the window. Nothing was more important to him now than protecting the younger male, he didn't want the other to suffer the fate of being further tested on. He was going to look into if he could seperate the bodies? Maybe? Even still it was human transmutation!
Should he even inform Alphone Elric? No...He didn't want the kid to see the truth, about his brother. It would lead the younger brother doing stupid things. Edward had worked so hard to bring his body back to normal.
"What I do at home has nothing to do with the military"He assured the creature. He could tell with the look in his eyes, he was worried. He wasn't even sure if the creature even understood him? Maybe this was false hope! No! I couldn't be false hope!
In no time they reached his house, "Thank you, Riza"He said, "Make sure this stays between us, the last thing I want is others to find out"He reminded her, seeing her nod. Of course the woman would never dare disobey him! She had always been his follower from the start? For what reason he had no idea?! Once they gotten Edward in, he told the other to stay inside and chatted with Riza. "Please don't inform his brother, I don't want him to see the other like this..."He asked.
Once she promised him she would keep things between them, "You must be tired? You can crash here if you need too?"He asked, her. He didn't want her driving if she was exhausted. He walked in with her, not sure what she was going to do, but the first things first was getting the canine comfortable. He rummaged for stuff Ed might need! First he looked for food he could give him. He had no idea what to feed him? Luckily for Ed he had food in his fridge, he figured it would be best to give him meet to help with his strength. He gotten a bowl of fresh cold water as well.
