XXXXXPaquil is the pinnacle of a unfortunate soul. She was never really seen as a gift to the world by her mother- more of extra luggage to be hauled around and fed until the age of purity came around. However, her mother tried to the best of her ability for years to make it on their own with the little amount she earned. However, one man came into her life that she just couldn't stay away from. A mage who once served on the council. A very powerful man that most swooned over.Once Paquil's mother was able to get close enough and spent a night with the man- she knew that things couldn't be the same. Being 'gifted' with a child, the woman was shunned away from the man- not only for that, but he admitted to be having an affair on his wife with the woman. Paguil's mother was heart broken to say the least. She didn't know if she had the effort to raise a child of the caliber that she was gifted with. However, she went away for awhile until the child was born.
XXXXXOnce Paquil had been born, her mother resumed work as a prostitute. Paquil, being a very bright child at a very young age, thought this to be due to her false love for the man who would be her father. However, she wanted her mother to be happy and found this to be a out for her in order to find the man she loved again in time. However, within time she found this to be a troublesome path. Her mother, she seemed to be falling off the road of her self appointed tradition. She seemed to be coming home later and later, tireder and tireder, and even somewhat more and more unstable. Paquil began to feel concern for the woman who remained hardly in her life and even took the effort to consult her into what might be wrong. Her mother would just shake her head and put on a reassuring smile that everything was fine. Paquil was highly unconvinced however.
XXXXXWhen Paquil rolled around to the age of Sixteen, things seemed to change. Her mother threw around her name as if flaunting a piece of herself she would in order to get an extra client. This concerned the girl a bit. This concerned her even more as strange men would be appearing at their home, searching for her. Paquil would often be hiding. She didn't like these men. She didn't want them here. One evening arose where the girl had been in the kitchen preparing herself a meal where one of the men felt brave enough to enter the home at his own will. Paquil quickly turned to face the man as he stood in the doorway. She froze as he held up his hands showing no harm. She knew indifferent however that wasn't the truth. She quickly grabbed a knife from the counter and held it up, pointing it at him. The man shook his head for a moment before snapping his fingers together, letting loose a toxic non lethal gas into the room. Paquil felt herself fading quickly before dropping the knife then dropping to the ground. The man sighed before picking the girl up and leaving.
XXXXXWaking up a few hours later, Paquil shot up as she looked about the room. Obviously, she was no longer in her kitchen, but in a much nicer living room. She rubbed her eyes a few times before coughing. Feeling a foul taste on her tongue she frowned. Whatever that poison was, it was still in her system. The man who had taken her from her home, sat across from her in a lazy chair, his hands pressed together in such a way he was intrigued in her. The amount of toxin he had used was more than enough to kill her. However, she was still alive. He smiled lightly as he slowly stood up from his seat and moved to sit next to the girl. Paquil coward from him, even scooting as much as she could away from him as she could until he reached out and placed his hands to her cheeks, bringing her face closer to his. Whimpering in fear, Paquil closed her eyes and made small pleas to him that he would let her go. The man chuckled warmly before brushing her hair from her face and pressing his lips to her forehead. Tears streamed down the young girl's face as he did this. The man frowned before releasing her and folding his hands into his lap. Once gaining herself, Paquil looked to him in curiosity before wiping her tears away, seeing how he meant no harm to her. She didn't fully trust this man however. He sighed seeing her skepticism before introducing himself, Liecrian Travis; God of Toxins.
XXXXXPaquil had been forced to stay with this man for a couple years now being at the age of eighteen. She had all but forgotten her mother at this point. She had come to cope with that she hated that woman more than anything- forcing her daughter into the lines of prostitution, only to be sold to this man for him to keep. Granted, he never tried to make a move onto her-- until she reached the age of consent however. Though, she had to give it to him, he had saved her from continuing down the road her mother had threaded for many years. Thought she still considered him a client of hers since he didn't seem to show much attachment to her as she had for him. This was the only man who seemed to rip out her sweeter side from the depths inside of her. He hated seeing her bitter and fully of malice. Often times if she had went a week with a good training streak, she was allowed to bed with the man- if she went a week with a poor streak, she had to scavenge for her meals for the equivalent amount of time. Needless to say, the young girl never seen the ways of a scavenger but of a fling lover.
XXXXXTime passed and Paquil seemed to get more wisdom under her belt from the man. One afternoon came however when the man hadn't returned home for the evening. Paquil found this to be odd. She waited around the home, pacing back and forth in a bit of distress as she hadn't herd from him at all. Once the next day came, there had been a knock at the door. A letter. A letter had been left behind addressed to her. It was from Liecrian-- "Paquilette Barin, my dear student, my dear lover, I can no longer come home to you as I had and spend nights with you. You have learned all that I can teach you and need me no more. I have found a permanent lover-- or so it would seem, so your services are no longer needed." At this point, Paquil choked as she felt her breath catch in her throat from his words-- "I enjoyed our time spent together and found it most enjoyable when you completed your training to the extent and perfection that I required of you. I will contact you if I am in need of your services once more if this woman I have found doesn't meet up to the caliber I need. Sincerely Yours--" And that being read, his signature laid scribbled across the page. Paquilette from that point, felt her heart shatter as well as her hopes of finding love, just as her mother once did.
