Shiloh gave a large, deep sigh as he finally tossed the last of the garbage bags into the dumpster at the end of his shift. The night seemed to drag on much longer than normal this time around, with it having been the weekly waxing night. It seemed as if the summer flu season had hit, and tonight he worked alone cleaning and tending to the large empty vertical mall in downtown Destiny City.
It wasn't the first time he had found himself stuck doing something like this, and most of the time he didn't mind, but this time around... Well, the last youma attack he had been part of was still fresh in his mind. It wasn't too far from where he stood that he had been attacked before, his little scrawny tail saved from certain doom and despair by a sparkling knight named Sutai. While she very much tried to reinforce the thought that he, too, was capable of fighting off these monsters, it was hard for him to speak up to an ACTUAL person, let alone find the courage to power up into his alter-ego to sent monsters into a dust-filled grave.
And yet, here he was now, quivering after having quickly powered up into Susquehanna and found himself staring into the gaping maw of a youma that had been roaming the alleyway between his building and the next. This time, there was no savoir in the form of a much stronger and far more experienced Squire to help him in his time of need. But Susquehanna hadn't even powered up since that incident several months ago, and barely knew how to power up in the first place. And this beast looked much more ferocious than the small rat creatures he had faced before...
"N-nice beast... J-just go home..." He murmured softly to the strange mix of crocodile and dog that inched closer and closer too him, snarling and mouth already watering with the need to get at his poorly guarded chest and the starseed within. Yet despite his calm and terrified voice trying to sooth the beast, it lunged, teeth bared and nearly got to the young Page who managed to barely deflect it with a swing of his oar with a loud squeak. Maybe, just maybe there would be someone else who come help him fight, as it seemed like that one swing he got in was all he had... Now he stood there, stunned in place and breathing heavily as the monster was surely recovering.

"Heads up!" The shout was only partially for the benefit of the Page... it was also partially to distract or attract the attention of the crocodile-like youma he'd spotted. It was a fast power up, by necessity, having been stopped across the way to check on his motorcycle, trying to identify the unclear problem he was sure was there, and the motion in the alley had caught the corner of his eye... apparently to the great luck of the young at the end, who was at the business end of those jaws. He just hoped, (a train of thought that flashed across his -while in the air- and summoning his net) that the youma had some qualities in common with it's non magical relatives, and that he might be able to trap it's jaws shut with his net. Explaining a new set of tooth marks to Meteora might be worse than fighting the actual monster. Still, gravity and second thoughts were in general a poor match for the laws of physics and an already launched, enthusiastic knight of Mars and their attempts to stomp and wrestle a dogodile. Oh well. Figure it out as he went. That usually worked. More or less. Kapoodles And then Met banned Kai from watching WWF wrestling or Crocodile Hunter reruns

"Wha?!" The sudden shout from another person managed to break Susquehanna from his terrified trance, enough so that he stumbled away from the youma who now seemed occupied with snapping it's jaws at the newcomer. Whoever the man was, he came off as fearless, immediately throwing himself in the heat of battle to rescue the poor helpless young Page who seemed all but helpless.
Or at least he tried. It wasn't every day one wrestled with a crocodile, much less so one that had the agility of a canine, and though the man felt much stronger than his puny little self did, One could not fight such a creature alone.
While the self preserving part of Susquehanna called for him to back up and let the more experienced person take care of it, the general goodness within him would not allow that, so rather than dash off with his newly granted freedom, he too tried to jump into the frey. His tiny Oar already had a bite out of it, it was the least he could do to try to shove that jagged edge into the monster that threatened not only him, but everyone in the area.
As he went to do so, a sharp tail whipped outwards, catching him hard on the cheek and causing him to stumble back.
"Gah!!" Just like that, a small trickle of blood came down his cheek, knocking his glasses crooked on his face, but he couldn't give up! Not yet!
"C-can you hold it still! I'll try to get it in the head!"

Well that had... not... gone quite as planned, but hey it was something, even if it wasn't -exactly- an camera ready youma bash... but that was what came from thinking you had a handle on these damn things, he'd found. "Trying!" He noted, to the terrified oar-wielder. "Might be short on enough limbs..." Because s**t this thing was thrashy, and hard to get pinned, but if he could just secure one end he could grab for the other... "DOWN, Ugly!" He growled in frustration, trying to thump it upside the head in 'gratitude' for the difficulty to contain it.

TRYING?! To Susquehanna it seemed like this man hadn't thought the whole attack thing down and actually thought through... Then again, fighting youma was hardly something one could predict. The Jupiter Page certainly hadn't.
He stood there dumbly for far too long in his opinion, trying to figure out the best way to strike without hitting the other knight. He and the youma wiggled and whipped back and forth as one tried to overtake the other. With no end in sight, Susquehanna just took a deep breath and dove in, using he slightly broken end of his oar to jam into the side of the monster's head, hoping to get an eye or something that would subdue it!
The sound the youma made forced another frightened shiver to rush up the young man's spine, but he knew he couldn't stop... he just couldn't. So again he withdrew his Oar and drove it in again, hard before the youma turned it's head and chomped down hard on his forearm, earning a stunned, wide eyed look from Susquehanna. He didn't scream, for the pain didn't register until a moment later when he whimpered and shoved the oar between the monster's jaw, trying to pry it free.
"Sorry, I'm sorry! I messed up!!"

Kairatos was blissfully unaware of the doubts as to his aligator wrestling skills, which, truthfully, weren't something he had actually trained in, at least not past a few wildlife shows and the guess that the youma might have a few traits in common with the normal creatures it somewhat resembled, but he certainly hadn't been planning on the kid to get bitten either. "OK maybe focus on the end that doesn't bite?" He suggested, trying to throw his arms around it's head to secure the jaws with a combination of his grip and net, reasoning he might be strong enough to disengage the bite. "Or just book it??" The kid was definitely struggling, and this thing was a thrashing handful in ways that larger creatures sometimes weren't. "Goddamn, kid! This isn't Shark Week!" Go for the eye indeed. That was a damned small target on something that was moving with this much rage and power, though he gave props for effort. Hell he might get himself bitten at this rate, but at least he had bracers, it would do damage but he doubted he'd loose the damn arm.

All of Kairato's struggling against the youma was more than enough to get the beast to loosen it's grip on Susquehanna, enough so that he was managed to slip away. When he did, he cradled his arm for a moment, feeling the blood from the puncture wounds seep into his bandage-like sleeves, but it didn't hurt NEARLY as much as he thought it would. And if it didn't hurt, then he could fight!
"R-right!" The end that didn't bite made sense. The other Knight seemed far better equipped to handle the open mouth end of the gator, so he went around back to grab it's tail, placing a foot at it's base and tearing it right off, sending it flying. The creature flailed and hissed, it's movements knocking Susquehanna straight off his feat and he landed hard on the ground with an *oof!'.
"I'm not running!" He shouted back at the man, trying to hit the monster with his oar again from where he was on the ground.
Ryuthulhu OKAY, I should be good to reply better now. xD So sorry about that!

"OK but Running is definitely an option ok?" Dammit, he guessed he got it. He'd been a Lieutenant once, eager to prove himself to someone who cared... arguably as much as the passing citizens did. "Good job though!!" The creature thrashed and rumbled in range, and Kai hammered it between the eyes as hard as he could. "Running. Is. An. OPTION. When you NEED to." Granted he knew he was working on that concept himself, but maybe he could get it nudged into the heads of some of the newer Knights.

Susquehanna let out another ‘oof!’ as a foot managed to find it’s way into his gut, but he shoved his oar up into the area where the tail was ripped off and earned another pissed snarl from the youma. It was rather remarkable the tenacity of his fellow knight. He didn’t give up, but did seem to understand that giving up was entirely reasonable. It made sense and hit a point in Susquehanna’s mind. What was the point in fighting a losing battle? Running often times meant fleeing to live to see another day. There was nothing wrong with that at all.
But at this very moment, that was the very last thing he wanted. No, he wanted to stay and fight and save whatever poor civilian that happened to walk this way and accidentally get mixed up with all of this nonsense, so that’s what he did. Luckily for him, the beast seemed to wobble around as it growled, unsteady on its feet and looking so very blood thirsty.
A few moments more passed while Kai throttled the beast, along with Susquehanna’s own pummeling, and soon enough, the monster exploded in a boom of dust, leaving the young men gasping for breath.
“Good… Job…” Susquehanna managed, a small smile breaking through his struggled breaths. He wanted to do introductions but he was going to have to wait a moment.
