"Normally I would probably find this fascinating," the Horseman said coolly as his half lidded eyes slide closed for just a moment and opened once again in a leer, "but this will simply not do." Something slipped from the folds of his sleeve, a weapon eerily similar to his own but more crude and without the runes that graced his own. A few insects followed, making their way out and around.
Sheldon couldn't say he didn't share the sentiment. No wonder he felt at home in the desert, among experiments and secluded in a way if his copy were to be of Famine.
"I do hate wasting the energy, but I must rid myself of you." The other drawled, regarding him like prey. Or maybe something else, "I do hope you don't disappear once you're defeated, I would love to keep you." Aa yes, it was something else. But Sheldon wasn't exactly keen on anything that the Horseman said; fighting or what he had planned to do if he won.
Though, maybe he wouldn't mind doing the same. OOC: VERSUS Sheldon gaia_star [ HP]: 30/30

The Hunter version of himself was formidable, he had to admit. Though, with his lax affinity for battle, it wouldn't have surprised him to find that this would have been a bit of a struggle. Though, it seemed that the Hunter, just as himself, were not keen in the exercise.
Something they had in common, perhaps, he mused. But hopefully where the similarities ended. The thought of a human version of himself, despite intriguing, was disgusting to him. He needed to rid himself of it, and attempted to parry the other down with his rope dart and a few dirty tricks with the denizens that resided in him.OOC: VERSUS Sheldon gaia_star [ HP]: 18/30

Waits growled in annoyance, this battle had been going on for more than he would have favored. (Though, he would have preferred to have maybe done one hit and done... but no).
He felt the sting of his opponent's weapon, just like his own, embed itself past the layers and into his rib cage before it pulled out sharply. Taking a bit of fabric and scrap of skin along with it, and scurrying a small collection of ants as they panicked from their colony having been pierced.OOC: VERSUS Sheldon gaia_star [ HP]: 7/30

There was another snap of the rope against his arm, Waits paid it no mind as he descended upon the Hunter. It had been allowed this time for the opening he desired. The Hunter had grown tired, just as he was but enough to break through and come face to face.
In a swift motion his bony hand was out and around the Hunter's throat, squeezing ever so as his glowing yellow eyes studied those human features. Pieces of his face that still remained, those ugly colored eyes and the hair that was obviously not naturally colored. He still held himself impressed by the copy, they really had done a satisfactory job on the replication.
But that was where the appreciation ended, because he did not need this thing to live - to replace him if that really was the threat. His fist tightened, he could hear the struggles for breath and the Hunter's arms began to lamely flail as life fell from his eyes. It was futile to struggle with how little he had left but there was a tiny little bit of fight left until the Hunter finally stilled and went limp.
Finally. Waits released the human and let it clutter to the ground. Hopefully when this was all over he would be allowed to keep the husk. How interesting it would be to have his very own copy.
