For a moment the tanned, pale eyed woman wasn't recognizable for what she was. Just another retched hunter standing in Nergui's way. Then she saw beyond the color of her skin, the normalcy of her those husky blue eyes, and the priestess let out a rage filled hiss. "What are are?" And where were they? How had Nergui gotten here? So many questions, and not nearly enough answers, and one very convenient target for the unsteady priestess to take out her frustrations on. "Don't worry my lovely, I'll make this quick." Her saber was in her hand, and the hunter was taking a step away, summoning her own weapon, a match for the one in Nergui's dark hand. Mismatched eyes snapped down to it, narrowing, before flicking back up once again. "Whatever you are, You don't have much longer." OOC: VERSUS *NAME OF YOUR CHARACTER HERE* gaia_star [ HP]:50

There was fear in those pale eyes, fear and determination, and Nena didn't wait for the horseman to strike first. Instead she was darting forward, dark blade glinting in the light as she came in at a sharp angle to slice across Nergui's side before she was jerking back and out of reach.
A few more rapid steps back, and she was calling on the magic that moved so easily within her, her shadow flickering and dancing beneath her feet.
Instead of going for the hunter herself, Nergui lunged at the stretch of shadow between them, slashing and stabbing, and she was rewarded at the startled, and then agonized screams that fell so easily from the pale haired hunter's lips. "Mm, that's right. Sing for me!"

In the heat of the moment, her saber in her hand and the sound of the hunter's screams echoing her her ears, Nergui was content. She would rid the earth of this disgusting creature, then she would return to the tower, to her home and the loved ones that lived there with her. This human was a mere obstacle, one that had stolen her features, and that simply could not stand.
Spinning on the toes of one foot, she caught the hunter across the chest with a backward swing of her saber.

As if this hunter looking like her wasn't unnerving enough, she even moved like the priestess. All light steps and fluid motions. Graceful, but efficient. It was a little startling.
The rune tainted blade of the Hunter's saber came at her face, and Nergui had to jerk to the side to keep it from doing worst than cutting her cheek. Her retaliation was reflexive and rough.

The priestess touched fingertips to the blood on her face, mismatched eyes flicking to the spots of crimson on the tips before hardening on the hunter. "You have my face now, but I will cut it off of you."
Charging, she slashed, not once, but over and over with no concern for her own safety. Only a vicious need to see the petite hunter bleed.

"Yes! That's it," she cooed in delight as the hunter's shield began to fail. Cuts were appearing on the coat and the skin beneath. "So close."
Nena was on the retreat, overwhelmed by the relentless flurry of blows. She was losing, and she knew it. The fear was there, raw in her eyes.
"You are weak!" The saber came back, hands turning on the hilt to angle the blade for an upward thrust. "Die!" As she screamed she thrust the blade forward, burying the tip just beneath the hunters ribs, and pushing. Harder and harder until she felt it pierce through the petite hunter's back.
