Meelo sneered, adjusting his stance and spreading his wings out behind him; ready to go, almost itching as he stared down. There was just something wrong here, why he didn't just strike out immediately. But it was the way the Hunter composed himself, the way he too adjusted his weapon after waving his hand to allow it to appear.
"Hooo, I hope you're ready, brah." The same voice. The weird spear was held out before him in the offensive, "let's make this interestin, ya?" Meelo began to notice it more and more. It was hard to tell at first; the lack of markings all over, the clothing that hid his form and the different hair style. But it was the same, everything was the same here. This Hunter was some sort of copy of him but done horribly wrong and disgusting. Human even if he had his awesomely handsome features.

There was sudden drop of deja vu, not the specifics or the scenario but Milo could recall another time he had faced off against another version of himself. And this time like the last he was sure that he was reminded of the many episodes of his beloved shows where this exact thing happened; the enemy of the time had somehow made a duplicate. A fight was sure to ensue and honestly the Sun Hunter was more than willing.
This one was different, obviously, the nature of this world's ability to conjure a different form of him wasn't short of amazing. Milo couldn't help but be impressed at the other that was him but not. Though he couldn't say he had encountered many Horsemen (how terrible of a Sun he was), from research he could at least gather what this other him was apart of; War, seemed fitting. Sure, it hadn't been obvious at first with all the markings and the hair being a little different but it became clearer what he was facing. So similar, and the other obviously noticed it too as they exchanged pleasantries before launching at one another.
At first they were blow to blow, matching each other with flourish and vigor. But Milo found himself catching the Horseman too late and ending up costing him a serious blow to the side.

A fire seemed to spark within Milo, the thrill of the fight perhaps. Getting the opportunity to fight oneself as a different self was way too cool a thing to just put lightly. He would probably be ashamed of himself for continuing the fight as he had started. Though, Koume also had something further to say about that.
But his strikes felt heavier, finally finding his groove as he spun about in his usual flair. The naginata once again an extension of himself with each blow. Another attack and the horseman found himself sprawled on his back with the wind knocked out of him. His wings limp on the ground as he attempted one last counter before Milo slammed down the bladed edge right through his chest.
Milo was unsure if he should have expected blood from the final wound as the life from the War clansman ebbed and dissipated, melting back into the shadows as it had appeared. It was done though and he rested the length of the weapon against his shoulders.
< That was much too close, aho. You're rusty, you're a terrible Hunter. >
"Yeah yeah," he shrugged, "chalk it up to too many extended base missions."
Koume's figurative tongue clicked, < And what would your Noemi think? She'd be so disappointed in how out of practice you've become. She'll leave you for sure! >
Milo sighed. All this again and a small stab of guilt. He hadn't even seen Noemi yet, hadn't located her to see how she was doing. Like in the flesh, there were too little text messages between the two of them. "I hope not, but I'll find her later. Promise, ya."
