You pass by a makeshift sign with one word marked on its surface and an arrow to follow. Bugs. Well, that certainly has your interest. The arrow doesn't point down a real path, however, so you just have to walk through brush and over logs and try to avoid getting hit with the branches that you move out of the way. It's not that it's a frightening or perilous journey, at least no more perilous than any other off-road journey into the forest might be. You might even call it... peaceful. The light filters through the leaves, tinted green by the canopy. It's cooler here too. The birds are singing, little woodland critters are chattering, and there is even a band of raccoons practicing for a concert later tonight. All and all, even if you don't find out what the sign meant, you still got a relaxing walk out of it.
As luck would have it, however, the forest opens up into a... well not quite a clearing. It's still shaded, and it's cozy with trees in all sides, but there is more room to move around and the forest floor seems to be trampled down comfortably. Standing in the middle of all of this is a young mare, probably just having come of age, laden with all manner of nets and books. She looks at you like she's just seen you.
"Oh! Hello there!" Her voice is amiable and open. "Fancy seeing you here! It just so happens that I can use some help! Can you find me this bug?" She flips the book at her feet open and points to a picture in the book. How can you say no to that smile? You nod and she sends you on your way with a net and that picture of the bug in your mind.
