Backdated to February 19, 2017

They hadn't spoken much in the days that had passed since Lucien's birthday-- He'd had a date that evening and she? Well, she still wasn't entirely sure what had happened, but she hadn't spent the evening alone herself. It had set her to thinking, leaving her with an antsy, anxious feeling that she couldn't shake off.

She'd sent her cousin a text that following Friday, letting him know that she was planning another 'trip' for Sunday and to meet her at her apartment by ten that morning if he was interested in coming along for the ride. It gave her time to make breakfast while putting together a light lunch to take up to Corvus with her, preparing for a full day's exploration.

Lucien had gone out to take a few early morning photos and pick up breakfast before heading over to his cousins home. He figured he could leave his camera at her place while they traveled but he'd tucked a notebook in his bag that could come with him so he could take notes.

[ Text to Cordy: Should be there in about five. You have everything you need packed? ]

She probably over packed but, if she was going to go back regularly, then she needed to have stuff set aside. Plus, he needed her extra flash light, since he wasn't bringing his usual gear.

[ Text to Luc: Been packed since last night. Essentials, at least. Just finished putting lunch together. Just waiting on you. ]

She had been to Corvus a few times now since the first time she had brought her cousin with her, asking him questions and making a basic check list for things it might not hurt to have up on her home world. There were some expenses that she was eventually going to have to tap into her trust fund to accommodate for, but logistics... And explanations, of course. Living in an apartment someone really might wonder what she was doing purchasing as many solar lights as it would take to light the gardens in the evening.

Checking the clock once more she gathered everything that needed to come up to Corvus this time, setting it in a neat pile in her living room-- One cooler, one napsack with supplies and a wooden crate with a small bag of soil and gardening supplies just in case Luc decided he wanted to get his hands dirty along with her.

He checked his phone but didn't respond since he was so close anyway. He headed around the block to her building and let himself inside before heading up the elevator. Knowing she had been her things for the trip packed was good. That at least meant that she'd been going back more often. That was better than knowing she'd been hiding from going there before.

Once he was on her floor he headed over to her door, knocking before running a hand through his hair.

She'd been too busy flitting around her apartment to unlock the door for her cousin and the sound of a knock startled her out of a thought. She hadn't had to buzz him into the building, but there really wasn't anyone else who should have been coming...

Cordelia peered through the small eye hole in the door, lifting herself up just enough to see the purple fluff of her cousin's hair. She smiled brightly as she unlocked the door, tugging it open to usher him inside. "You weren't far off at all. Glad you decided you'd like to come along with me."

"Told you I wasn't, didn't believe me?" He grinned slightly as he slid inside. He wandered over to the living room so he could set his bag down. Having extra lenses was worth it but damn if they weren't heavy. He spotted the small pile of things she had out, raising a brow slightly.

"Taking all that with us?" It wouldn't be hard to take everything up but he was a bir surprised she was taking more the just the necessities. She must have found something up there she liked.

"I've been trying to bring a little bit extra up there with me every trip, just in case. It would be easier if we didn't have travel restrictions, but..." This way she couldn't just forget something-- or, rather, if she did forget something she wouldn't have to come back home for it and forfeit whatever plans she'd had on Corvus that day until the stars aligned again.

"This is nothing compared to what I brought up with me last time. I've spent some time wondering whether or not I would be able to get a wheel barrow up there to clear out some of the rubble, but... That might be something to put up a notice on the Sailor Scout message board for. Pick up a few strapping young men and women to help?" A wry grin curved her lips as she locked the door behind Luc. "You don't think it's too much, do you?"

"I think you're going to need a small army to deal with the rubble. I haven't even been able to do that yet." He'd just found ways around it or left some areas unexplored. There was no way some of the rubble in the Archive on Arsinoe was moving without cranes. "It's fine. I took some larges piles of stuff up to my own asteroid."

He practically had a small house there by this point given everything he'd taken up. "You just have to learn how to space things out and take stuff up every trip you can." He nudged one of the packs with his toe before looking back over at her. "You said you were ready to go? Just waiting on me?"

"I took some water up last trip. I still haven't quite figured out where the water source for the pool in the main courtyard is..." She couldn't remember just how much she had told Luc about the courtyard, honestly, if she even had. It was easy enough to ignore for the moment, though, as she didn't want to delay their departure any further.

"Eta! If you wanted to come along with us, now would be time time... Otherwise, I would at least appreciate a bit of cover while Luc and I travel."

The silver tabby was easy enough to rouse from her sleeping space, the feline stretching out slowly before padding over to join the two. She perched on top of the cooler, peering up to her charge for a moment before closing her eyes to focus on dampening the traces of energy in the apartment as Cordelia Carden became Sailor Corvus. Fortunately she didn't have to suppress things for long as the young woman had gotten much better with space travel and they were soon in the courtyard of the once grand Castle of Corvus.

As she teleported them up he wondered if the next time he went he should bring Sumi along. The kitten did love exploring Arsinoe so he figured the same would be true of Corvus. New surroundings were always interesting and Sumi did have a habit of finding things. He could be helpful if there were any small bits Cordy couldn't get past.

"Pool? .... oh?" She'd been talking so fast before they'd traveled he hadn't really been given the chance to ask what she was talking about. Standing there it was obvious though. "Well. At least your planet still has water. Bonus."

"Pond is probably a better word for it. Reflecting pool? I think it's more than that, though. I distinctly got the feeling that there used to be fish in here forever ago." The Senshi of Vengeance watched the empty basin for a moment before powering down, running her fingers back through her hair in order to gather it into a ponytail once more. One day she'd find a way to keep her hair from tumbling back down every time she powered up...

"There was a bit in there once-- Not much. I think it might have rained? It's dried up again, but you can tell that something used to feed into there. I just haven't been able to track what." Her nose wrinkled as she shook her head. "I found this place after our last visit. It's been easier to clear away things out here than it has been inside... Which is what the gardening tools are for."

"There were fish before-- I'm quite certain of it." The last time Corvus had come home she hadn't gone with the young woman, but she didn't want to miss out this time. If the feeling she had deep in her small, furry body was right this had been her home at one point before as well. She tried to keep that in mind with each visit, keeping it in the front of her thoughts even now as she jumped up onto the ledge of the marble basin.

"I can probably guess they were koi." He wandered over to the edge of the pool, looking down into it. It was interesting seeing somewhere that still had some imbalance of life to it. Without whatever technology had kept it going Arsinoe was just a husk. "There used to be rivers full of koi on Arsinoe, I'm pretty sure we breed them, so I'd bet some got sent here." The pond would have been a good size for them too and if this was some sort of central courtyard why not have decorative fish in it?

"So, gardening tools. Planning on turning this place into a garden?" That would be an interesting use. Not something he could do on his own world but putting some sort of life back onto their planets would be a step.

"It was overrun when I first found it-- mostly vines and tangles. Do you remember watching the Secret Garden when we were kids? Someone cared a lot about this place a long time ago. If I'm going to be entertaining the idea of bringing guests up here I should at least have one place worth showing them." A soft smirk touched her lips as she turned to glance over her shoulder to her cousin. For a brief moment something familiar tugged at the corners of her mind before slipping away. The odd not-quite deja vous sent a light shiver through her before she was able to shake it off.

"Earth is our home now, but I would like a chance to see something living here again... Even if it's just plants."

"I still think there has to be some way to bring these places back to life." He wasn't sure how given what it probably took to destroy them. He couldn't just give up on their homeworlds though. Born on earth or not these places were really their homes.

Starting with little things, while not an answer, was something good though. Places that could grow plants and could have bits and pieces brought back even if it was just for friends deserved to have that.

"I didn't know if you would want to help me outside here today or if you'd be more interested in the castle itself-- Your choice what we explore this time, Luc, since we didn't get too far last time." A grin lit her lips as she looked to her cousin, eyes bright despite the moment she'd spent distant.

"I brought lunch, either way, so we've got a few hours to explore until then."
