It hadn't occurred to him until the next day that his wallet was even lighter than intended.

He hadn't told a soul, family wise, about where he'd gone the afternoon prior. No one would understand and he'd get berated for wasting money on such scandalous causes. So when he opened up his wallet to look for the cash to pay the gas station attendant for the bag of chips he'd tossed on the counter, his eyebrows furrowed at the suspiciously blank looking space in his wallet that he hadn't recalled before.

What was supposed to be there?

He'd made it all the way back to his parents' house before it finally dawned on him.

Oh god.

Had he really been stupid enough to have given his driver's license away???

Panic set in as he now had to figure out a way to get back his license, especially without either his parents or his older sister finding out. Would Cass still have it, he wondered? Or would she have tossed it aside and laughed at him for being the ridiculous fool that he'd been?

Aw, s**t, s**t, s**t.

How was he going to explain his way out of this one?

The nice thing about having ended up with cute Alrik Rey's licence was that it had his address on it, assuming it was current, which mean that if she swung by the area a time or two, she'd eventually spot him. Whenever she tried, she didn't linger more than a half hour or so before disappearing because it probably was a little weird that some girl the neighborhood had never seen kept appearing, lingering around one of the houses and leaving with no explanation.

Sometimes, she passed it off as a stroll through the area.

This would have been much easier if he had just given her his number instead. Ah, well, he had clearly been to flustered for such a thing.

Cass had been about ready to give up, drop the license off in the mail to hopefully make it back to the cute blonde who clearly had minimal experience with lady folk, but there he was.

"Oi, cutie," she called, sauntering down the sidewalk and towards him. "Thought I'd never catch you." She pulled his ID out of the front pocket of her cut out shorts. She wore a black loose fitting band tank with large cut out sides exposing the lime green bra sports bra she wore beneath, a plaid shirt tied around her waist and dark thigh high socks that exposed just a sliver of skin of her thigh.

"You left so fast it almost hurt my feelings."

He heard a female's voice call out, but he'd initially ignored it. After all - girls never spoke with him, not unless it was his sister or his mother.

When the sound of shoes thumping against the sidewalk caught his attention, he turned to move out of the woman's way, only for his jaw to slightly drop at the sight in front of him. There she was, in all of her glorious beauty, coming towards him in street clothes that would put every other girl on the sidewalk to shame.

Wait... Cass? Cass?

The girl from the Club had come to see him?

"You left so fast it almost hurt my feelings."

The bag of chips crumpled in his hand as he began to squeeze them tightly.

"O-Oh my god, I'm so sorry. Cass, hi---" He shook his head, doing his best to de-jumble his thoughts. It was hard to focus, what with her bra showing on top of the long legs he'd remembered nestled against his. "...hi. I'm sorry, there was something... something had come up and I had to go."

Not entirely untrue, technically.

At first, Cass thought he was going to ignore her and irritation bubbled up, because no one ignored Cassadega Bright. But there he was lifting his head and dropping his jaw at the sight of her.

Okay, that made up for the momentary concern that he wasn't happy to see her.

"I noticed," she smirked, letting her gaze drop before slowly crawling up his tall and sorta filled out frame. "You left this behind, though I woulda preferred a number instead." She winked, unable to help the chime of laughter that spilled from her lips as she walked towards him. Offering him his ID, Cass tilted her head so that her hair fell across her shoulder and the exposed collarbone that her shirt provided.

"I mighta raised some questions round the neighborhood, sorry cutie." She made herself look apologetic, painted lips pouting at him. "Didn't want to miss a chance to get to see you, even if I prefer for you to come to me." It was more fun, in her opinion, to leave people hanging and wanting until they clamored after her.

"Didja miss me?"

Relief washed over him as he saw the solemn faced teenager's face in the form of the small plastic ID. He was quick to pluck it out of her hand, shuffling it into his own pocket without a second thought.

After all, the ID was nice to see but the girl in front of him was even nicer.

"You wanted to come see me?"

The surprise was clear in his voice as he straightened out his shoulders, feeling someone proud at the notion. Had he really left that much of an impression such a talented woman? Surely his inexperience was laughable at best, but here she was, standing in front of him like... like... like she liked him, or something.

One hand rose to ruffle the back of his own hair as he looked down at her. "Of course I missed you, Cass. I would have come back but uh...."

How exactly did he say you already have all of my money?

"... you know, things've been busy. What are you up to right now?"

"Aw, course I did, Ali."

That was why she was standing in front of him after all. She could have easily left the ID with the bartender to sit with the rest of the forgotten cards, IDs, and other things people left behind. Instead, she'd tucked it away until she'd gotten a chance to attempt to find him.

"You don't make it easy y'know," she huffed, blowing hair out of her face as she pouted at him. "I had to try three different times before this." She waved her hand at them. She appeared amused at the way he nervously ruffled his own hair and decided that now was the perfect time to step into his space.

Carefully she pressed the tips of her fingers against his chest. "Good." If he missed her, that meant he'd been thinking about her which, in turn, gave her a hold over him. That, put him exactly where she wanted him. Especially, when Cass thought about the way he'd gone of course I missed you.

"If you're asking if I have plans, that depends..." She paused for dramatic effect. "Y'gonna ask me out?"

She'd come by three times?

Not once, not twice, but three times?

Eyebrows rose in surprise, tanned skin growing flush as the flattery sat in. There wasn't enough time to counter her comment before Cass was in his personal bubble, stepping far too close for comfort as her hand pressed against the front of his shirt.

One leg moved backwards automatically, the young adult prepared to step away and re-secure the space in front of him. He hesitated, head tilting to the side as he stared down at her.

Why had she taken such interest in him? He clearly didn't have much - okay, any - experience with women and suddenly this gorgeous one wanted to see him enough to come by his house four times?

Her question was probably the most stunning of them all. Ask her out? As in, ask her out on a date? Is that what she wanted?

"Depends," he responded cautiously, one hand rising to touch her back, but freezing in midair. He had absolutely no idea what he was doing - better let her call the shots, on the off chance that whatever he decided to do could be considered offensive, "on what your answer would be if I was going to ask you out."

He dared a grin, confidence slowly rising, "It's not nice to dash a guy's dreams, you know."

His bewilderment and naivety when it came to women made him a delicious target for Cass, who was quite well versed in deal with the opposite, or even same, sex. She was well versed in people and she didn't mind flaunting it from time to time.

One brow arched when she caught sight of him trying to back away, but he'd frozen, hand ready to press against some part of her...

Hm, he needed encouragement, clearly.

"I told you before, Ali, I won't bite unless you want me to." Her cheeky grin showed that she was proud of such a comment. "Cutie, I'm here, I'm in your space and I came looking for you. What do you think I'm gonna say?" She shook her head, reaching to boop his nose again because it left right. "I mean, unless you don't think I'm date worthy."

He blinked as her finger pressed quickly against the tip of his nose, caught off guard by the sudden gesture. In truth, Alrik was far from used to physical touch that didn't come attached to his sister, mother or on occasion, school chum. If he wanted to touch, he did the initiating, not the other way around.

Heat flared up into his cheeks, betraying his delight as he gave her a stupid grin.

"Of course I think you're date worthy. I just..."

He shrugged, giving her a helpless look.

"C'mon, you're out of my league. It's obvious I'd take you anywhere you asked me to, but why the interest in someone like me?"

Hands fell into his pants and he swayed. Eyes had moved down to stare at the toes of his boots as he confessed, "I've... never actually dated anyone before, anyways. You sure you wanna be seen with someone like me?"

"You know what I think, cutie?" Cass began, reaching for the wrist of one of the hands he'd shoved into his pocket. "That you're thinking too much about it." It was almost endearing, if it wasn't keeping him from just going with the flow.

"Why does it matter? I do and should be all you care about, kay?" She took a step back, fingers sliding against his palm until he let her fingers fill the spaces between his. Tugging on his hand, she took another backwards step expecting him to start following her.

"Come on, Ali. Just follow my lead." How many times had she said that to someone? More often than not, it worked if they did and she didn't think that this time would be any different. "It'll be an adventure, a new side quest on your life game. Stop over thinking the fact that a pretty girl wants to spend time with you." Her thumb slid across the back of his hand.

"Unless you're gonna reject me, cause you better do that now before I get attached."

He didn't resist as she pulled one of his hands up, long fingers enjoying the feeling of smaller, softer ones sliding between them. As she tugged him forward, he followed willingly. Who was he to say no?

"Just follow my lead."

She was right - he was overthinking things. He was a handsome guy, he might not know all the ins and outs of the dating world or how to acquire a girlfriend... but that didn't mean that they didn't find him attractive, right?

He blinked in surprise at her statement, wondering for a brief moment if she had any gaming history. Without thinking, he blurted out, "Side quest? Cass, you're princess level plotline."

Long legs carried themselves until he was walking beside her, grip tightening around hers.

"Any hero'd be stupid to bypass you."

Now that Alrik had been properly ensnared coaxed into following her, Cass started walking down the sidewalk. Her vehicle was somewhere but she had already decided that they were just going to walk, so that Alrik would have the opportunity to grow a little more used to her being in his space and her general presence.

His cute, nerdy commentary made her laugh with her head tossing back and wavy locks of green bouncing.

"Okay, okay. I know but I thought it'd make you feel better if I downplayed it." She had no shortage of confidence, really, and she wasn't even opposed to being treated like she was too cocky, but her blonde companion was nervous and in over his head.

She wanted to make it easier.

"Good thing you're not bypassing me huh? I think this quest is a long one. Whatdaya say?"

It didn't take much effort to keep up with her pace, long legs having to actually clip their step to keep alongside where she walked. Her self-assurance was not lacking, the confidence in his partner continuing to draw out his own - especially when it came to gamer talk. Her dropping comments that alluded to video games only fed into his own ego, which normally was more than healthy (when it came to games, not girls!!!).

"I'm a master at long quests, sweetheart." His shoulders straightened back and his chest puffed out ever so slightly. His hand took hold of hers (or was hers still holding his, technically?) and squeezed. Eyes remained focused on the sidewalk in front of him, the blonde still worried that if he looked her directly in the eyes that he'd start to lose his ability to focus again, "Got more stamina than a normal hero does, don't worry. I excel in strength and stam."

After all, he did play a mean tank in most games.

It appeared that Cass had found the right niche to get her companion to loosen up a bit and she had to keep from playfully rolling her eyes at him as he tried to boast about things she didn't think he actually had. Still, the peacocking was quaint and adorable.

"Don't worry, I plan on testing that out, Ali," she cooed, glancing at him in an almost shy manner from the corner of her eye, lip ring pulled into her mouth while she gave him a glance of her well practiced bedroom eyes. Shame he wasn't really looking at her though.

"Just remember, you might be playing on brutal." That all depended on how she felt like going about things. For now, they'd start off nice and easy.

"Alright, you and I are gonna take a romantic stroll in the park, kay?" While Cass was asking, she wasn't really giving him a choice, which she was sure he'd know from the way she continued to lead him.

It was all fun and games after all, getting to know her new toy companion.
