Fill out your report when you're done." Roll 8 d4: These are the boxes, and there are 8 of them. For each box follow the instructions below and RP accordingly. --If you roll doubles, it means you have two of that particular box and need to follow it's instructions twice. Same with triples, etc.
This box says it holds one complete silver dinner set. Roll 1 d10 to see what's missing.

-------4. One serving platter is listed, but not in the box.
-------5. Three forks have magically disappeared.

-------9. There are NO forks in this set. WHAT?!
-------10. Everything is there, but the large serving platter has a huge gouge on it. Best make a note.
This box is supposed to hold on large grandfather clock. Best check for damages. Roll 1 d6. If even it's in perfect condition. If odd the glass on the front is broken. You had better make a note.
Three large tapestries from the year 1400. Roll 1 d4. If you roll a 1 or 2, one tapestry is missing. If you roll a 3, they all have water damage. If you roll a 4, everything looks good!
This box is labeled "Cavalry". No need to check the contents, simply RP ordering the part-timers to stack it in the corner.

It was almost as if they were sending him on these missions as a joke -- sending the nerdy secretary to do the desk jobs, the simple, dumb work. Part of it made Jude grimace, because he didn't like being thought of that way. The rest of him...well, it was work he was good at, work he was comfortable with. Easy work, if you knew what you were doing, if a bit tedious. He was suited to it, so he couldn't exactly object. Just sigh and wade in to take care of it all.

He started sorting through the boxes. He opened the first to a stack of tapestries, humming a bit as he unrolled them, unfolded them, and sighed a bit as he looked over the water damage across their weave. Nothing he could do but record it down and move on to the next box.

The second box was an ornate set of silver jewelry, and Jude hummed a bit as he compared the contents with his list. Forks: check. Spoons: all in a line. The knives and plates and serving platters were all carefully in place. The gravy boat, though, seemed to be missing. Again, he noted it down.

Box number three was labeled "CAVALRY", which Jude found a bit peculiar. Frowning at it, eventually he decided that this was one of those weird things he'd been sent to look out for, so he snapped a picture before he passed it along.

The sixth box contained a grandfather clock: quite a beautiful piece, in pristine condition. Jude cracked it open to check the gears inside, turned the key to wind it up just enough to get it to click a few times, to make sure everything was still in working order. Then, nodding, he noted it down.

Three more tapestries -- or, that's what this box was meant to contain. Instead, it seemed, it only contained two. For a brief while, Jude searched the surrounding area for the third one, trying to find some sign of where it had gone. There was not even a stay thread. But at least they were in perfect condition, this time.

This clock was a slightly different style, but no less beautiful, no less antique and expensive, and in no worse shape than the other one he'd seen. He made a very brief note, this time, starting to get tired. This room was dry, a little bit dusty, a little bit stuffy. He pulled a face, looking to the remaining two boxes.

These tapestries seemed older, just a bit faded, but still in quite good shape. But again, one of them was missing. It was enough to make Jude wonder if someone was opening up a tapestry store somewhere.

The last box: Jude breathed out a sigh of relief as he opened it up to find one more grandfather clock, this one with an ornate, lacy metal front on it. Again, it was in perfect shape, seemed to him that it should be worth a fortune. He took a note and then stood, swiping hands clean on his pants and surveying the area around him thoughtfully. He'd done a good job. Of course he had. He was good with this kind of thing.
