[ JOB LISTING ] Inventory Manager [ DIFFICULTY LEVEL ] gaia_stargaia_stargaia_star [ TASK ] Monitor and list all incoming and outgoing inventory.
"Okay, look," the manager seems very irritated. "We just had two trucks come in and drop off their goods. Our current help mixed the boxes up."
He hands you a clip-board. "I need you to check each box's invoice and decide where it goes. If the invoice says 'Cavalry' you just put an X here," he points to the bottom left corner of the paper, "and have those idiots stack it over there. Don't actually count Cavalry boxes in the total number of boxes on the form. If it says anything else on the box, I need you to open it and make sure the invoice matches. Fill out your report when you're done."
Roll 8 d4: These are the boxes, and there are 8 of them. For each box follow the instructions below and RP accordingly. --If you roll doubles, it means you have two of that particular box and need to follow it's instructions twice. Same with triples, etc.
This box says it holds one complete silver dinner set. Roll 1 d10 to see what's missing.
-----If you roll a: -------1. Everything is there. -------2. It is missing the gravy boat. -------3. Two spoons are no where to be found. -------4. One serving platter is listed, but not in the box. -------5. Three forks have magically disappeared. -------6. One spoon and on butter knife are missing. -------7. Everything is there. -------8. Two plates are missing. -------9. There are NO forks in this set. WHAT?! -------10. Everything is there, but the large serving platter has a huge gouge on it. Best make a note.
This box is supposed to hold on large grandfather clock. Best check for damages. Roll 1 d6. If even it's in perfect condition. If odd the glass on the front is broken. You had better make a note.
Three large tapestries from the year 1400. Roll 1 d4. If you roll a 1 or 2, one tapestry is missing. If you roll a 3, they all have water damage. If you roll a 4, everything looks good!
This box is labeled "Cavalry". No need to check the contents, simply RP ordering the part-timers to stack it in the corner.
When you are done checking all 8 boxes, fill out the form below and post it in your last post.
"Thank you," the manager says as you hand over your form.

There was a little physical activity involved with this position but for the most part, Sheldon found that it was simply just paper work and observation. Things he was more than capable of. Besides, if anything was to be a front for unusual Horsemen activity than it seemed like transporting goods claiming to be antiques was the way to do it. (Allowing humans to work in such an operation did seem unusual though... or maybe they were that good).
Sheldon took a glance at the delivered boxes before him, lazily eyeing the sizes of each one and the format of box they had been shipped in. Many seemed wooden while a select few were cardboard or plastic. A few had 'Calvary' printed on the side of them which he had been instructed to set aside. Those were apparently not needed to be inspected.
No, that wasn't suspicious at all obvious front. Not at all.
Sheldon was thankful for the checklist that had been provided for the next box. Having never been versed in dinnerware, he would have never known what could possibly be missing from the egregious amount of items that such a thing would need. He had always just grown up with plates, bowls, cups and utensils but there seemed to be way too much unnecessary items here.
And apparently one thing was missing. The Life Hunter went through each item individually until he reached the conclusion that the gravy boat was missing. Really, people couldn't just use a bowl for their gravy? He sighed.
The large wooden crates that he walked up to of course made him grumble a bit. They were large and would need a crowbar or something in order to properly get them open. Digs in his head snickered.
What he found, finally after like fifteen minutes of putting in physical effort to get them open, were three rather broken grandfather clocks. Sheldon made a face and assessed the damage - and made a note that it clearly wasn't his fault it had happened. One had its face cracked in several places like it had been smashed by a rock. Another's wooden frame had been apparently attacked by some animal or something. The last one was completely missing the pendulum.

There was a mystery on hand, apparently, with the final box he was supposed to inspect. It had been labeled as a tapestry but there was no such item to be found within the confines of the box. Mislabeled? Stolen? He didn't care enough to go find out and just dropped the box on the table.
Boxes were inspected. Done. Just needed to fill in paperwork and he could leave.
