After a busy day of different activities, including a shift guarding a base and getting thrown off the back of an Apex mount, Meara decided that she was going to try one of the other types of undercover missions available. She looked through the list of those available before she came across the one that was advertising for Bates Diagnostics. Taking the assignment she hurried off to prepare.

When she got to the building she looked around in curiosity for a moment or two before heading inside where she could talk to the receptionist, who gave her a pamphlet to look through and papers she had to sign to agree to not speak of anything confidential. Not like the papers would stop her from reporting everything the saw to her superiors.

She ended up assigned to a lab and told to work on a mixture that is meant to cause harm, something that she had to force her self not to pause on. The specimen she was given was a mouse that was hidden in a room that she couldn't look into, something she was privately thankful for. She got to work with the chemicals and after a little while ended up with a mixture that was a solid black. It was so dark it was like someone had cut a hole in the world but it smelled horrible like rotten eggs.

Reluctantly she gave it to the mouse, pushing it into the syringe and injecting the mouse. It only took a moment before the readings ended up distorting weirdly. It was apparently a success though and she finished off the paper work then left to report.
