The alert on her phone had been at first oddly ignored, they had been frequent as of late but nothing had been urgent allowing Maple a few minutes of spare time before she would glance at the screen. Once the chapter was done, she would pull from her book and give it some attention.
Currently she was sitting at the edge of the training fields, in the line of site as she sort of envied those capable of sparring decently. With a book, one those that managed not to get ruined, and taking a break. Maple sighed softly, the clatter of weapons suddenly coming to a halt and the last word read before she placed her bookmark and finally went for her phone.
Nothing seemed out of the ordinary in terms of messages until she scrolled to the very last one. Her breath found itself caught in her throat while her brown eyes went wide. The screen suddenly glitched in her hand, the messages growing dark and her mind just a flurry of questions as if a great awakening occurred. "Wha-" she choked out, nearly dropping her book.
Her free hand went to her clothing, pulling at it. Nothing was really too different but she knew it all wasn't right. She was in the wrong place, this all felt wrong. Why was she in the wrong place? Why wasn't she at school? (Her horns were gone). Panic.
< Oh, dear, are you alright? > A voice in her head, Maple began to breath a little more quickly. It sounded just like her aunt. But it wasn't her aunt. A weapon. There was so much going on in her head! More panic.

Things weren't going well. Andrew marched out of the Dorms and was trying to think. Trying to figure out how the heck to get out. And VERY annoyed that he was completely off balance.
This soft squishy human body sucked. And the thing in his head was annoying him with random chatter. Burn Fear destroy.
It reminded him oddly of someone he knew.
He was trying to think. He had to find... If she was here... He had to find Olivia. But he didn't remember her face anywhere on the island.
He did find someone else that he knew. "Maple. Is that really you?" he asked.

Andrew -journal Sun division specialized hunter Arcana: death (Group d) wild arcana grant +2 arcana bonus to other players Andrew probably doesn't like you. If he's smiling something is either on fire or he recently pulled something off and you don't want to know. Otherwise he doesn't smile.
It hadn't occurred to her to go search for others, her mind still reeling from the revelations of this whole thing - and oddly reminded her of similar situations. Yet different, those had been completely different. There were so many memories of names that matched up though, from here and there but that idea had only popped into her mind when Andrew called out her name.
Her head snapped in his direction in an instant and his form reminded her of the few times they had gone on field trips together; much of him was still there but there was still so much missing. So much that distinguished him from the plain human forms they all seemed to have. She herself wasn't that off, aside from how her hair was styled the only thing missing were here horns. And the Maple here had apparently tried to remedy their absence with hair accessories (which also tried to make sure her hair covered long healed scars).
It was so tempting to get up, rush over and hug him but she was quietly reminded that even though he wasn't as awful there as he was here (because wow, he really stepped it up a notch), he was still the boil who caused her so much trouble. She had least got to her feet and closed the distance between them. "I d-don't even know, b-but it.. k-kind of feels like m-me." Her eyebrows upturned, "Andrew, th-this is awful. Wh-why are w-we Hunters? Wh-why would someone d-do th-this?"

"Like I ******** know." he wiggled his shoulders still annoyed at the lack of proper limbs back there. He was just pissed off. This whole thing sucked.
"Are you ok though?" he paused realizing that he should probably at least check on the ghoul. He wasn't exactly fond of her, but, look. If she wasn't ok, then. maybe he really needed to hurry and find.. "Other than missing things I mean." he reached up towards his head where his own lack of horns was prominent.
Yes, that should have been an expected sort of response from him. From both here and there. It didn't make her bite her lower lip any less as she dug her fingernails into her palm with anxiety; her other hand still held onto that book, it might lose that cover soon due to sweat.
"Ph-physically, yes." Thankfully not mimicking his action to touch upon her own head. It felt so much lighter there but that might have also been the information overload, "M-mentally, n-not so much." And it was a wonder she was not an emotional wreck right now; perhaps shock.
< Oh, dear, you're going to be - > She shut her eyes as if pained while the voice seemed to glitch. That voice, urg.
"Are y-you o-okay?" She finally asked after a pause, once that part had finally cleared. "B-besides... m-missing... thi-things?" At least she managed to stop her hand from digging too deeply, to draw blood, by waving it around her to vaguely indicate all Andrew's missing appendages.

"******** up in the head, yeah." he nodded. The stuttering was totally normal for Maple, and that didn't bother him a bit. He just had to wait a little longer to listen to what the ghoul said. "Disorientation in normal considering. We need to get ourselves together to fight this though." Whatever the hell was happening. "Do you think you can manage that?"
Wait had she asked him if he was ok? well he had asked her first, but there was look of blank confusion that had nothing to do with being in the wrong body. She wasn't getting weird and caring about him was she? "I'm disoriented too, but otherwise, I'm fine." he shrugged at her, in what would have lifted his wings. They weren't there though so it made the motion awkward. At least he hadn't fallen on his face yet.
Here, of course, she probably wouldn't have given a rat's a** about Andrew's well being. If he had been incredibly hurt, she probably would have silently been glad and thought it to be karma for all the things he put the other Hunters through. At home, no, she couldn't say she exactly enjoyed Andrew's company but that was nothing to wish ill about him. It was a little funny that for all the firey descriptive powers that he possessed, he wasn't that much of an a*****e. (Wonder what was different here...)
And besides, if they were to get out of this, they needed to stick together, right?
Now it almost sounded like he was concerned, trying to be reassured that she was prepared for whatever was going on. As if they were going to have to face something later. They probably were, wasn't this how the other times had turned out? Now there were some similarities shining through, "Y-yes, I think I c-can." After all, weren't all alternative versions of her just that much more capable than her truer self? (So depressing).
"H-have you r-run into anyone else fr-from home?" She found herself asking. AJ was coming to mind, she hadn't encountered him here at all.

"I think Blonde is around somewhere." he should probably check in on her next. "But no one else I particularly know. Have you... have you seen..." oh jack this was awkward. "Let me know if you see a ghoul named Olivia."
"I have, well, a phone still and you should know the number." Oh wow that was awkward... wow. he was a real jerk here. Now that he thought about the fake memories. wow human him really sucked. What the ******** was wrong with him? "Ummmm.... look I should.. well, anyways we have priorities. Let's leave whatever happened before in this place in the past. Ok?" like seriously... But then again in this world Maple seemed to have a little more back bone. "I mean about me. You keep that hunter's edge. It works for you here." Wow, this conversation was going great.
The two creeple he rattled off didn't sound familiar at all, still she nodded and half wondered if the Olivia one was perhaps the very blue ghoul that she often saw hanging around the boil. At certain distances sometimes. "If you s-see AJ.. or," she bit her lip, feeling a little awful that no other names came to mind at that moment. There were so many that she saw less of these days at school, "w-will you let m-me know?" (Hopefully their feud had calmed down.. thing long after).
It was when she mentioned the phone that she took her's out, having forgotten about it like she always did in Halloween. There were a few numbers listed in her contacts list, most those of higher level than her and a few that she was unsure of now. But his was there with an unpleasant little symbol; placed there as a reminder for this self to ignore anything that came from him. "I'm f-fine.. with th-that..." she said in a low voice as a blush slowly began to creep up on her cheeks. Yes, letting memories of a*****e Andrew behind in the past was fine with her, she was fine just dealing with the usual lightly painful to deal with Andrew she was used to.
Her mouth tightened and her cheeks got even redder with the, what was that, a compliment? Kind of. Encouraging words at least. "Why are other v-versions of m-me so m-much cooler..."

Andrew's lips tightened at AJ's name. He was pretty sure AJ hated him now. "I'll let you know." he glanced at his phone, and then typed something in. A note perhaps.
"Because you forget to hold yourself back." he shrugged as he stared into his phone. "Alright I'm going to go check on Blonde... ahhh, you'd know her as Ruth here I guess. I have business with her, half of which involves punching her again for trolling me." he said it in a casual tone but it was hard to tell if that was normal Andrew talking or hunter Andrew. Set her on fire! chimed in the weapon thing.
There was still something there, but at least he hadn't gone off the deep end about her mentioning the other boil's name. She smiled a little and nodded. If she thought about it, she really wouldn't hold anything against Andrew if he avoided the whole idea all together, be it as he was or what had transpired between them.
Her lips almost fell into a frown over what he told her next but there was more confusion there. Held herself back? She didn't press it, realizing she was keeping him from other engagements. He, as he was there, obviously had more contacts to meet up while she could only think of one. "A-alright," her eyes darted about and she made a face. Punching friends, okay. "I sh-should... g-go... s-something..." she pointed vaguely even though she really had no place to go.
