gaia_crown Speed Base Location - Las Vegas
Description Located in an abandoned construction site, this base serves as an integral spot to prevent horsemen from gaining any territory amongst the humans in the city.
Bonuses: Death Hunters here get a bonus. Add +1 to the time limit for each Death Hunter. Mist Hunters roll 1d4. If even they can copycat this bonus.
Mechanic: Roll 1d6. If 6, your guarding the base goes smoothly (rp it out = success!). Otherwise you spawn a horseman mob. It has a cumulative 30/30 HP (+10 for EACH ADDITIONAL CHARACTER IN THE RP). It does no auto damage but if 5 turns pass it will begin attacking humans, one human casualty every turn that passes. Every human life lost is your fault.

The Mist Hunter was grateful this time around that he didn't have to pretend he was a Horseman infiltrating their base of operations. Pedro always felt like such a terrible fraud at best or an outright traitor at worst. At least with these types of missions he could feel alright about himself.

But speaking of himself, Pedro was unfortunately the only man there. And that made it difficult for him to properly guard the base. He really did make for a shitty Death Hunter substitute as a Horseman suddenly appeared, intending to expand their territory.

There were a group of them, but this somehow made it easier for Pedro to spot them. He brought out his club, waking up his bonded from its sleep and without a sound, he leapt into the mob swinging.

The club wasn't elegant or spectacular or pretty. But it was good enough for the Mist Hunter to wield and was able to bring down another Horseman, whittling down the mob's size.

Unfortunately for Pedro, the mob was a fast learner and the remaining horsemen split up to confuse him. He still managed to take out the closet Horseman.

Try as he might, Pedro was unable to find the last remaining Horseman! s**t, s**t, s**t, there was going to be a shift of humans coming in soon. He had to finish this and fast!

Spotting movement, Pedro swung but it was only a glancing blow and in the distance he could hear the engine of a car.

He wasn't the target. He was never the target. The Humans were. And though Pedro sped towards the scream, he was too late. The Horseman had claimed a life.

Pedro heard another scream and swung, this time his aim was true. But he was too little too late for the second human. He will mourn them when he can. For now, he had to set his agony aside to clean up.
