The Mist Hunter hoped that his genuine desire to help and be useful and make the lives of others easier would be manifested in this job. Because working in Retail could be such a spirit killer that even Pedro didn't think he could avoid it if he was forced to work without means of blowing off steam.
When his customer approached with their problem, Pedro got to work. He found that the hardware was outdated but he also knew sometimes you couldn't afford anything newer and did his best to get it running again. As he was about to wave the customer goodbye, Tyr stopped by and offered the customer a discount on an upgrade to a more modern product. The customer took Tyr up on the offer and ended up spending a great deal more than they meant to that day on in-store financing.
Pedro was torn by this but at least the customer was happy.
Pedro Trogo Mist Hunter; Full Hunter Wild Arcana; Formerly The Chariot Journal - 6"1 tall - Friendly - Big Brother-type - Carries around a backpack of snacks and bottled water
With his first shift pretty much handled, Pedro was optimistic that he would be able to provide a cheaper, satisfactory alternative for the customers. Unfortunately for him, while he really, really, really wanted to help and would have probably risked getting fired, when he saw the customer's shitty attitude to the other workers before Pedro was assigned to them, the Mist Hunter decided said customer deserved to pay through the nose.
He used simple word to explain what was wrong, smiling in his usual friendly big-brotherly manner way. "You gotta get this piece of hardware replaced. It's an easy fix, ten minutes tops." He began. But then he explained just how far away the part was stocked and then he'd found out that it needed to be special ordered. "Overnight delivery's a huge hefty add-on."
Sometimes, you couldn't treat shitty people like they weren't s**t.
