Here at Mainframe Kennels we believe that the health and happiness of the dogs is paramount, and we believe that the best way to provide them with these things is through training and competition. Our goal is to bring out the best in every animal under our care and find what they enjoy doing most. We train our dogs primarily for agility, sledding, obedience, and sporting shows, but some may find employment as service animals such as police or support dogs.

Competition runs in Lee’s blood. Like her father and grandfather before her, Lee made her career in professional sports. She maintained a position as an internationally ranked archer and took part in two Olympic Games before she retired from competition in her mid-thirties. It didn’t take long for her to get restless, even with a newborn daughter at home. She started taking her dog to agility training just to keep herself busy, and quickly got heavily invested. Her husband’s family bred hunting dogs, so it wasn’t a huge leap for him to get on board with her new passion. Lee is competitive and fitness oriented, so she spends most of her time physically working with the dogs. She shows the dogs in the agility trials, but leaves the other competitions to the other handlers.

   x x x █ posting requirements
As long as you’re writing at a level that wouldn’t make a high school English teacher cringe, we’re probably going to get along just fine. Punctuation, capitalization, and understanding the difference between your and you’re is absolutely necessary. When it comes to posts themselves; content is infinitely more important than length. We don’t care how many words you write, so long as you’re interacting with the other players and moving the story forward. Remember not to do so much in one post that you’re writing at someone rather than with them. Please have some kind of post formatting; it doesn’t have to be fancy, just enough so we can easily ID the character. If you need help just ask!
x x x █ character creation
The crew is made up of people Starfleet wanted to forget about; people who don’t work well with others, people who screwed up somewhere, and people who just aren’t quite incompetent enough to fire. That being said, we’re not going to accept any character who are just straight up murderous psychotics. You can play any age between about twenty-something and fifty-something. You can also play any Alpha-quadrant native race, but no true telepaths (empaths and touch-telepaths are fine). If you like you may invent a race, but try not to go too crazy. Please use real pictures, or pictures that look relatively realistic, where at all possible. More information on character building, as well as the reserve and profile skeletons, can be found in the applications thread.

female ; early forties ; competitive x x x █ co-owner x x x █ DRAKE ROBINS
Drake Robins had every advantage of money, status, and birth, but somehow managed to avoid becoming a total sociopath. Lee and Drake met at an expensive prep school but they didn’t start dating until late university. He was busy with the family business and she with her sporting career, but eventually their stars aligned. When their daughter was born and Lee retired, Drake knew it was only going to be a matter of time until she set her competitive eyes on something new. He doesn’t get to spend too much time at Mainframe because of his business obligations, but he handles most of the legal work for the kennel. x x x █ “helper” x x x █ THEA ROBINS
