It always says I have 9 announcements
and i go to look and its all the same one??

Am having the same problem.

Moreover, even after I've tried making the announcement bubble go away
by manually reading the announcements, the announcement bubble stays
-- the same number of announcements, and the same announcement is still "unread" when I click on it.
