Everything about the place made his skin crawl - not from fear, but from disgust. It was Apple for horsemen, but it wore the veneer of a ******** modern philanthropy. Shik looked at the products on sale with a thinly veiled sneer. How much did he want to bet that there was some sort of spyware or radio signal in each of these things, to monitor humans, maybe even attempt to brainwash?
[ Now you're just getting paranoid. ]
Shik grunted in response before going to the table and landing himself a job. Maybe he could learn a little more about what was going on here. Either that or he could try to sabotage the business...mildly. He doubted one person's actions would bother Pale Horse as a whole.
(Seriously, how could anyone go there with a name like that and not expect something wrong?)
Shik attempted to botch a sale to test how well his acting could take him. As it appeared, the president, Tyr, didn't mind walking about openly on the first floor os his business. It actually shocked Shik that customer ended up starry-eyed and eager to buy more afterwards.

Shik had to resist rolling his eyes at a particular customer that came to him. There was brand loyalty, and then there was commercial whore-out, and even that seemed like a mild description for this guy. Just as a joke, he offered several "fresh off the market" accessories that the guy didn't even think twice about buying. Shik actually repeated himself in incredulity just to be sure, but yup: customer wanted it even at that ******** hell, he thought as he rung it up. Maybe the world isn't worth saving if they're already buying into this crap.
