Horsemen sucked. Andrew mumbled to himself as he dragged himself through the portal and down to the medic's area. He was covered in dust, sand and his own blood.

This is what he got for signing up for this stupid joint. He put pressure on his arm trying to stop it from bleeding. How bad was it? He didn't want to pull of his shirt too look.

Bad. But you'll live.

"Your sympathy is overwhelming." he muttered out loud to his weapon as he walked in.

You are such a whiner.

Andrew ignored the annoying one and looked around for a medic. Considering it was on his fighting arm, there was no way he was going to get by with getting it himself. It Had to be fix. "Dumb Hoseman, going for the disarm." He was lucky he still had that arm but after that he had been forced to run. He preferred killing them.

Andrew probably doesn't like you. If he's smiling something is either on fire or he recently pulled something off and you don't want to know. Otherwise he doesn't smile.

Haddy was one of the friendly, smiling faces of the infirmary. Part of a rotating crew of veteran and neat Life, Moon, and Mist hunters that made up the medical staff that took care of the rest of the populace that resided on the island. With as often as folks got busy around here, it was a safe bet that she was at least painfully familiar with most of her peers.

That would include Andrew. His voice was easily recognizable, and as she turned to greet him her expression was already a little less than compassionate. "Bad turn on a mission, hmm?"

This was the Sun Hunter that found it amusing to harass Riley, a lab tech in Life that was, at the best of times, eccentric and vaguely distrusting of the human race as a whole.

"Take a seat on the stool, and we'll get you patched up." She pointed at the stool in question as she went to gather supplies from the cabinet.

If he was well known then it was also well known that Andrew hated having to be in the infirmary. He avoided it whenever possible.

Today was not one of those days. He plopped down on the stool with a sigh. "Horseman." was the answer. He didn't feel a need to explain more. Anyone who had been on this job long enough would know what that meant.

"Patched is probably a more accurate term today."
He hopped there wasn't too much of a chunk missing, but he wasn't lifting his hand to look right now. Considering the amount of blood everywhere... He tried not to think about it. "Busy day?" he tried to distract himself from what he knew was coming.

If he didn't like people touching him, the certainly did like people touching what belonged inside him either. But for this he would make himself sit.

She pursed her lips at him, a thoughtful expression flitting across dark features, but mad no comment. Instead she busied herself loading up the supplies she was going to need on a little stainless steel tray. Suture thread, local anesthetic, alcohol wipes and swabs. When she had everything ready she grabbed another stool from the corner and wheeled it over beside him.

"Yes, they can be vicious brutes." Wasting no time, she pulled on a pair of gloves, then tore open an alcohol wipe . It probably wasn't going to feel the best against the wound on his arm, but it needed to be done. "Hand down please."

This job was going to need more than one alcohol wipe that was for sure. When he lowered his hand, there was a fairly deep cut going 3-4 inches down his arm. It was nasty. It would heal. But stitches or tape would probably be a good idea.

And he flinched when she got close, not exactly the best patient. He watched her too, staring as if willing her to go away.

She stated down at him levelly, meeting those unhappy eyes, and seemed utterly unphased. "You can either sit still and let me do my job, or you can march your happy a** back out that door." Apparently she wasn't in the mood for anyone's s**t. "Your choice."

"Your bed side manner is overwhelming. I totally feel safer in your hands now. Thanks." He didn't leave. He still looked unhappy but he did take a deep breath and try to sit more still.

His a** was not happy, it was hurt. If he didn't have a fear shield he wouldn't be just sitting there.

"Perhaps, but it's my skill with the sutures and knowledge of the trade that you're depending on. A silver tongue won't close up that arm of yours." The corners of her lips twitched just slightly, but then she was turning her attention back to his arm.

The alcohol probably didn't feel too good, but she was at least quick, as well as thorough. Cleaning the wound to guard against any fear mutated infections. Then would come an injection of something to dull the pain. A local anesthetic that would take effect within a handful of seconds. It meant, as she started threading the sutures through his arm, that he didn't feel much beyond the tug of his skin.

Once his arm was numb, mostly, he started to relax. He still watched, it was weird watching someone put his arm back together like cloth. But without the pain involved, it was interesting.

"At least you are good at that." Was that a compliment? It was hard to tell.
