▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ _ tab tab tab tab tab tab tab tab tab tab tab tab tab tab ☓ tab tab P E R S O N A L I T Y There's a difference between being the life of the party and being the queen of the party, and Beatriz makes sure her friends are well aware of this. While the life of the part is expected to please most with their presence and give the party its mood, the queen is to be catered to lest the part fall into a chaotic mess. If someone so much as says something off-putting to the queen, it will be known throughout school by the next day. Drama is one of Beatriz's favorite games, especially since she is often at the center of it. Despite her ability to ruin lives, she prefers to assist others with her schemes, helping give good cred to those in deep need of it. She isn't afraid to speak her mind, especially when it comes to defending someone who does not deserve to be a victim of drama and school gossip. In more personal settings with friends, this kindness is more obvious to detect. She isn't one to be afraid of public displays of affection and expressing her feelings.

■ Beatriz McQueen ■THE SINGERTHE BASICS:
NICKNAMES: Bea, Queen of the Beat, Queen GENDER: female AGE: Twenty-three HEIGHT: 5'5" WEIGHT: 125 lbs. EYE COLOR: Brown HAIR COLOR: Black
DEEPER DOWN:
PERSONALITY: To be a celebrity, a specific level of bitchiness is necessary. Beatriz is ready to say no and tell people to screw themselves when the situation calls for. However, also being an icon, she learned to hold her tongue and pick her battles. Outside of work, she's known for being a vibrant light of optimism and having a good sense of humor, generally making her good moods and laughter infectious. She loves to make people laugh, which is shown in how she does some stand up comedy in between songs during concerts. However, she is also known to burn out every once in a while, where she will refuse to talk and secludes herself in a room with a bag of chips and a laptop or a few books. The burnouts have been known to last as short as three hours to as long as a week depending on the situation. She is a genuinely caring person, known to donate a lot of her spare funds to help children in poverty strive in school. Her attitude for wanting to help people succeed, however, can come off as a bit brutish, sometimes saying things in a overbearing enough tone that any form of positivity in them seem minor in comparison to the bully-ish behavior. BIOGRAPHY: For as long as Beatriz could remember, she wanted to be famous. Her mother--a Mexican immigrant--held her reservations over her daughter's dreams, but her father--a Caribbean immigrant--told her to pursue her aspirations with all she had. They lived on a poor side of town with small jobs to push them all forward paycheck by paycheck, with three children to feed. Being the eldest, Beatriz often acted as a third parent, all while maintaining an honor's roll GPA, attending weekly singing and dancing classes, playing as a pitcher for a coed baseball team, and eventually obtaining a part-time retail job. It was a surprise to most that she could even attempt to have a social life, better yet one as vibrant hers. Her next door neighbor became her best friend, and together they were thick as thieves; both of them came from lackluster homes from the rough side of town and aspired for something greater than they grew to know. Together, with their larger group of friends, Beatriz grew to have the courage and self-esteem to pursue a career in music. Among her friends, she developed a close mirror of a crush to the writer of the group due to their similar passion for arts, but she never pursued it, knowing fully well it would never work with her plans being too big to involve a second person. That never stopped her, however, from writing two or three songs about her high school crush.
Just before graduation, Beatriz was given a call from Vivaldi Music Records, who told her they wanted to sign her up for an album deal upon hearing the singles she released on YouTube. She accepted without so much as talking to her best friend about it, causing a slow rift between her and the group before disappearing altogether without a word. Upon arriving in Los Angeles, Beatriz fit right in, having a head full of aspirations and endless energy to achieve them. At eighteen, she was already on the music charts and getting music gigs. For the next to years, she managed to finally make a full name for herself, going by the stage name Queen of the Beat.
The only problem?
The whitewashing.
Being a child of two immigrants of color, her naturally curly hair was constantly permed to "fit in" more with Hollywood's ways. Her previously darker tan was tinted with photoshop a shade lighter for magazine and modeling gigs. Even her music, originally holding tints of Raggae or Reggaeton music influence, was eventually remixed to sound more like American pop. Being in a contract, however, she couldn't do anything about the musical changes or her outfits onstage. It wasn't until she turned 23 that her contract was finally over.
Since then, Beatriz has done a makeover on her music to make it more "her". Her music was a more mature mix of R&B, lo-fi hip hop, and Reggaeton. She made music videos obviously influenced by her childhood experiences as a multiracial child of immigrants in America. Her career has skyrocketed since, nailing an international tour that ended in Paris a week before she is to reunite with her friends.
Aside from always putting them on her VIP list for concerts, getting a small sugar skull tattoo from her tattoo artist friend, chance encounters with the free spirit, and going to two or three book signings for her writer friend, her contact with them has been thin; especially with The Homewrecker. Upon tabloids finding out they grew up together, she was confronted about it on a live TV interview, where she said she had no comment to say about someone who has caused divorces for her close celebrity friends. After a phone call with her childhood friend, and a few choice words, they ceased speaking. If her friends ever bothered to attempt finding her old home to speak to her parents, they would find that the McQueens had moved out of town to a more comfortable home in Los Angeles. With such difficulty contacting Beatriz, the girl only hopes everyone else remembered that promise they made five years ago. With her international tour ending, she realized upon her travels that her true friends never deserved to be ghosted by her as much as she had. She hopes to mend her friendships, no matter what it takes.

EVERYTHING ELSE: MISCELLANEOUS: Recently in the news, Beatriz has been portrayed with the headline "Busy Queen Bea" for her lack of partying, constant focus on work, and no news in her entire career about her dating life. She responded by posting a middle finger on Instagram, captioned "Don't seek love. Let it find you. #********". Her next album is set to drop right after the Paris trip. Since her career skyrocketed, Beatriz learned how to play piano, guitar, and drums. USERNAME: Merrily Mari
