Cider had been invited to spend the day with her other Mommy today! The last time she had spent it with Pear, but this time she was going to get to spend it with Sariya, and she was very, very excited…though mindful of what Pear had told her about talking more and not keeping things inside. She did have something of consequence to tell the Geist, and she was very much hoping for a positive reaction. This would be the first time she had let anyone read something she had written…and while it was a silly story, she hoped that it would be enjoyed…at least a little bit.

So Cider had waited, her hands clutched around the bag that held her precious story, and when she saw Sariya coming up, gave a small yell of joy, running over to her.

“Hi! I’m here!”

It was really, really good to be able to spend time with family…older family. Sometimes being at the Academy all the time got kind of lonely.

Sariya was nervous. She had tried to put things out of her head for as long as she could so she wouldn't have a panic attack but she knew it was obvious to Sasori. She had even tried to ask Sasori to come along to meet up with their sister, but Sasori just sweetly shook their head, giving an excuse of having papers to turn in to school. They even promised to take care of Chamomile for as long as Sariya needed them to. Sariya almost wanted to protest, but it had been a while since she had seen CIder, so in the end she gave up, though her nerves hadn't.

It wasn't that she didn't want to see Cider, it was actually the exact opposite. Sariya had lost her parents when she was young, so there was always a part of her that was waiting for the other shoe to drop. She tended to keep herself at a distance from everyone for fear that something would also happen to them. She wasn't sure she could take another loss like that without breaking, especially if it was one of her own children. Would the twins hate her for that? She honestly didn't see them as much as she wanted to, and she couldn't help but always be worried about what they did think of her, even if she knew that she shouldn't be.

She drew in a breath as she walked toward the area where she was supposed to meet up with Cider. When she saw Cider she couldn't help but smile, remembering when Sasori had been that young and innocent, though that hadn't meant that she knew exactly how to treat young children. Sasori had been as quiet as she was and that made it slightly easier on her though Chamomile was much more curious and talkative than Sasori had been at that age and it had definitely been a learning experience.

"Cider..." She replied with a quiet voice. "I'm glad you're here." That probably wasn't the best line to say, but then again Sariya had always been rather poor at social interactions.

The young hybrid stopped in front of Sariya and gave a smile. “Hi! I’m glad I’m here too…I missed you.” Cider was aware that this was going to be a much different visit than the one she had with Pear not long ago, and that wasn’t a bad thing. Maybe she would have gotten advice that didn’t lead her outside of her comfort zone if she had confided her worries about public speaking to Sairya instead…but…

But then again, maybe she wouldn’t have been as excited with the path she was now on.

“How are you? I’m doing good…my classes are doing good and…and I wrote a story! I think I want to be a writer when I grow up…I decided that the other night…I…I brought it if you want to read it…it’s not very good…but I can only get better, right?”

One hand reached up to take the Geist’s and the other, which was still holding the bag, reached up as well, giving her mother the chance to take it, if she wanted. “I visited with Mama Pear, and she told me I should talk more…but I don’t really like talking to people I don’t know…but…”

Of course, now that she was trying to convey that she didn’t like to talk, it was all she could do. Rambling on and on.

“…But I have a lot of neat ideas and I want…people to know them…just not from me talking. Because that’s too…I don’t get what I want to say, my words get lost I think.”

She looked up at her mother rather expectantly, because surely, there would be advice to be had…and she was hoping it wouldn’t be more of the same, go out and talk to everyone that she had heard before.
