[ JOB LISTING ] Treatment Center [ DIFFICULTY LEVEL ] gaia_star gaia_star [ TASK ] Aid spa specialists in their innovative treatments by helping handle and feed the wholly organic swarms of healthful helpers provided by nature in all its mystery. (Warning : Insect & Worm Prompts) Quote: The human staff has gone tragically missing, but all new ventures are bound for a few hiccups. The treatment keepers have taken to pulling in any idle horsemen found at the spa or even in the Dusk to come spend a shift helping feed and care for the spa's special swarms of cultivated insects and unusual plant life. Roll 2d6 and complete the 2 prompts You're set to supervise a tank full of leeches. It's an incredibly boring job until the leeches begin to grow. And grow. And grow until they're the size of a fat man's leg. The tank breaks. They're surprisingly fast and wily for leeches and it's up to you to catch and corral them all. Roll 1d10 until you succeed by getting a 6 or higher. The Moth Room needs cleaning and it's not a very glorious or interesting job until you start to hallucinate and the walls begin to melt. The Music Room allows you to enjoy a peaceful shift feeding its inhabitants as they are trained in their next composition. The tapeworms need to be taken for discreet walkies. This process involves placing leashes and collars on tapeworms and then walking them around, whispering encouragements to help motivate them to be their best wormselves. Roll 1d10 until you succeed three times by getting a 3 or higher. The Nagev Garden is full of helpful plants that wont just melt away fat but also clean the bones underneath as well with an enthusiastic efficiency! Feeding them is a pleasure if you life watching meat get torn apart and some of the plants will even let you pet them after. Roll 1d4 to determine how many fingers you lose during this shift. (Don't worry, they'll grow back by tomorrow.) The maggot farm has gone missing and the spa needs your help in finding out where it's gone off to. Was it stolen? Did their Fear Makeup get altered in an experiment, transforming them into something new? Did something eat the whole thing? You don't have to roll for success, you just have to tell a story to the shift supervisor.

Darkjay was ready to punch the famine recruiters when they approached him. He knew they were asking him to help in the spa center again, and had already raised his fist when they reassured him he wouldn't be working with maggots, or anything that would lay eggs in him.
He was calmed. Just a little, and gruffly offered to help them for a little while.
He was led to the corporation and down the hallway, towards the hated bug room. Gods he hated the bug rooms. On the way he was informed about his task, which was to walk around tapeworms on leashes - oh hold on what.
Just how the ******** were you supposed to walk WORMS around ON LEASHES?!
He was twitching in anger when he walked into the room, and took one look at the very large worms.
Well, he could see how they might need 'walkies'...

Walking around a legless insect proved to be as hard as it sounded. At first they wouldn't even move, acting like disobedient dogs and needing to be dragged.
"Move your stupid asses or so help me- "Darkjay wasn't so good at the encouraging part. But at least they moved, by sliding across the floor like a giant snake - WHY WAS HE DOING THIS AGAIN?!

Of course insults and threats wouldn't work for long, as they stood and refused to move.
Why couldn't he stab these things. Why

Of course these ones wouldn't listen to him either. Except they were a little more happy, wagging their segmented bodies and - why were they looking at him like that.

And now they were jumping on him. Like overgrown puppies licking at his face. Except he was just covered in slime now.
At least they were moving. Well, he was. Running down the hallway screaming for blood and senseless slaughter.

Their natural secretions where acting as a natural glue, making it hard for Darkjay to get them off.

Darkjay did a full run off the building before he 'discretely' threw them back into the rooms and ran out of there before anyone could stop him.
