Rook was going to try this again. He was so close the last time round until he ran out of time when the cops got called on him. He wasn't going to give up just like that so he brought a larger baseball bat this time round and started with a kick to the apartment door.

The door didn't seem to be so sturdy this time round. Maybe it was because of his previous attempt at breaking in and the human's lack of initiative in repairing it. Anyway things seemed to be in his favour this time round since the door went down with the next kick.

Grinning to himself, Rook headed through the splintered door and into the apartment, swinging his bat at the lone Mist hunter who looked as if he had pissed his pants as a result of his intrusion.

Ah well. Time to put the miserable human out of his misery. At least that was what Rook had in mind when he paused for a moment to gather his strength and put it all into the next swing, only for the whimpering human to crawl away and resulting in him missing his target.

Rook was gradually tiring out and he knew it. It might be one lone Hunter for now but there was no saying when his fellow hunters might get called in to save the day. He needed to end this fast and then get out of here. But being impatient certainly didn't help matters any when his swings kept missing their intended target when the Hunter scrambled away at the last moment.

This was it. This was the end. Lifting the bloodied bat above his head, Rook swung it down hard and without mercy onto the hunter's head with a loud crack and then the hunter was no more. With the job accomplished, it was time to head home to shower and cuddle up with Thias.
