... that was one weird dream that Kyle had just woken up from there. First Dorothy then Alice, a cage and some mention about a simulation. Probably a byproduct of his own hyperactive imagination then. Surely that all can't be… real?

He blinked a few times as he looked around himself. A treehouse? What's with the tribal themed accessories? And where is his shirt? Was he and Matt roleplaying while on vacation? “Matt?” The Sun hunter got up from the bed to make his way over to the mirror. Something didn't feel quite right to him and he needed a reflective surface to ascertain something.

He gave a yelp of surprise when he stood before the mirror and saw not his own reflection but that of the War horseman known as Rook staring right back at him. Holy s**t. How did this happen? More importantly, how was he supposed to get out of this?

“Um Matt? Someone? Would anyone please tell me what's going on here?” He called out half heartedly, not that he expected anyone to reply really, his hands reaching down to tentatively touch first his chest then the flat-board tummy that could only come with years of dedicated training.

Oh. <********.

That felt real.

Very slowly he spread both the wings on his back to their full extent, his eyes growing as big as saucers now. ********. That too. Ok… so maybe this all is real after all. s**t. But this didn't make any sense at all. How could he be both Kyle and Rook at the same time? What about Thias, the Famine Sage whom Rook was in love with..?

He immediately cringed at the memory of everything that Rook and Thias did together. Thias’ queer fascination with insects and dedication towards creating the ultimate creature of mass destruction. It sickened him to the core and made his skin crawl just thinking about his relationship with that… individual.

But Kyle felt that he had to go to him in any case. Maybe he wasn't the only one stuck in this form. If Thias too was not a horseman like him, he wanted to know at the very least just who he was...
