Days were turning into weeks, which turned into months. The trail was going cold. Rhonann ticked off a couple notes on her map before looking up with relief t the inn. She felt as though she had first spotted the inn on the horizon hours ago. Trick of the heat, and her frustration.
Rubbing firmly at a sore neck, she approached the inn with feet dragging. There was no reason to believe the man she hunted was here, but she knew that she needed to pause. She could barely think straight anymore, which would make her hunt even harder than it already was. "Water, please," she requested, dropping her butt onto a bar stool and her head onto the bar itself.
Just a quick break was all she needed...

Eira's attention was drawn to the door as she heard the bell above the door ring. She gave a glance around for a moment, taking in the fact that Gyuri was out at the moment. Given the time of day he was likely taking a nap before the evening rush, leaving her to take care of things herself. Not that she minded, she was the owner of the place after all. Stretching out all over she hopped off of the stage she'd been doing some practice dancing on, landing gracefully, before she walked over toward the bar. As she got close she gave a smile and said, "Welcome! Only water?" She went around the bar, stepping carefully over the large snaptrotter that was snoozing there, and reached under the bar to get a mug. Once it was retrieved she scooped some pure water out of one of the barrels with a ladle and walked toward where the blond woman was sitting down. "I will trade you, water for the crossbow. Weapons are checked in and kept by the inn until you head out. It keeps fights that might break out from getting overly dangerous." The mug was placed in front of the Wind Tribeswoman before Eira held her hands out, a smile on her face while she waited.

Only water? "Fer now," Rho replied with a sigh. Some flavor later would be welcome, but her canteen had been empty for a while that day.
The mention of the trade made Rho's brow knit, a frown tightening her lips. Let her crossbow out of reach? She started to open her mouth to say something stubborn, but the mug of water was far too tempting. Besides, it had already been put in front of her; that in itself was a show of good faith...
"Don't be lettin' anyone else touch it," she grumbled, shifting to put the weapon into the iceling's hands. As soon as her own were free, she grabbed up the mug and sipped slowly at the refreshing liquid. Gulping it down like she wanted to would only give her a belly ache. After a few sips, she sighed in a calmer fashion. Okay, flavor was desired sooner than expected. "What kinda plates ye recommend?"

Eira waited, a patient smile remaining on her lips as her customer seemed to be deciding on the trade. After a moment though the crossbow was offered to her which meant that all would remain peaceful and she wouldn't need to get Gyuri as back up. Summoning the big man was never a good way to make friends so Eira was glad that such things weren't needed. Giving a reassuring nod of her head she said, "The only one to touch it other then you will be me. We take the weapons here, tuck them behind the bar, and when our patrons are ready to leave they are given back." Once she had the crossbow placed where it wouldn't risk being used Eira turned back to the blond woman, giving her a smile, "I thank you for obeying the rules of the inn. I've kept them simple so that everyone can focus on having a good time here." Leaning against her hip against the bar she seemed to think on the quest and said, "Let's see, today's stew is made of aldabuk that was imported from Tale and veggies that were all grown by a merchant I know from Dernd right here in Sauti. If you're interested in a bowl then just let me know. It's quite affordable... and it's on the house if you're renting a room along with all other meals. It's only the booze you have to pay for on top of your room."

Rhonann cocked a brow slightly as the woman talked on. A good time? Not exactly what she was looking for, but Rho could appreciate the idea. She had never been one to occupy an inn for very long, so her experience with the late-night rabble was surprisingly limited. Still, she knew a few mugs of ale in a person was a recipe for a poor choices.
"I s'ppose one of them'll do me some good," she mused, stifling a yawn as she put her hand inside her pack for her coin purse. Grabbing what she thought was the purse, she pulled out a small, limp, and chubby spitorog instead. Without flinching, she snorted and set him on the stool next to her. "I s'ppose ye want somethin', too?" she asked, diving back into the pack and this time successfully grabbing the purse. "Won't be here long 'nough fer a room, but soup sounds good."

Eira gave a bit of a jolt as a strange, fat, spiny looking... thing was produced from the woman's pack. What in the name of Chi was that thing? She starred for a long moment then recalled seeing them around while they were in Jauhar once upon a time ago. Not something that she'd thought she would see again but here the thing was. She starred a moment more, sizing it up in her head, then looked back to her guest once more. The strange beast was within the rules of the inn so she couldn't really complain unless it started to make a giant mess. Here was to hoping the beasts weren't capable of such things. "I will fetch you a bowl of the stew then." She said once she was able to focus on something that wasn't the beast that was now sitting on the stool next to Eira. She scooped up a bowl from behind the bar along with a spoon, the latter of which was handed over to the blond girl, before she said, "Don't worry, our prices are fair when it comes to everything, food included." Eira hurried over to where the fireplace sat, filling the bowl to the top with the ladle, and returned quickly, "Here you go! Let me know if you want anything else."

Rhonann smirked and gave her spitorog an amused look. "Aw, he might get the seat a little wet, but I'll get it up after 'im." She took a few more sips of water while Eira worked, unable to help watching the iceling stride around. The woman was incredibly graceful.. as though turning a normal walk into a sort of dance.
Nodding at the soup, she gave it a few stirs with the spoon to start cooling it. "Naw. That's 'nough fer me," she said. Now that the water and shade was perking her up, she gave the inn another look-over. "Guessin' it'll be busy here later?" she asked before taking a bit of the soup. Not bad at all..

"I thank you." Good, that meant that she didn't have to clean up after the strange thing that taking up one of her stools. Here was no hoping nobody else showed up and accidentally sat down on it she thought to herself, unable to help but to give a little chuckle at the thought. As bad as she'd feel about such a thing it would kind of be funny at the same time, wouldn't it? Unless of course it was one of her favored patrons then she'd feel a bit guilty. "If you're certain." She said once the girl before her said that what she had was enough for now. That might mean she'd want more later but for the time being Eira's work was done save for providing conversation. She gave a glance toward the window, taking in the time of day, before looking back to the blond and said, "Yeah, it tends to get far more lively around dusk. Everyone that is staying comes back from whatever they were doing during the day, new guests show up, and people that are just wanting drinks arrive. It's kind of cute how the more loyal sorts will go so far out of their way to drink here." They could just stick to the villages of Sauti and Tale but some came here for drinks, something that pleased Eira greatly. Giving a smile she asked, "Planning to stick around until that time?"

Rhonann looked down at the soup. Dusk. ..Maybe she could wait that long. "Crowds ain't really my thing," she murmured for no particular reason. However, crowds might mean information, and information was what she needed. "Won't hurt ta stick around, though. Soup's pretty darned good; might be worth a second bowl later." As for what she would do until then...
Brow knitting, she hefted her coin purse to assess what was within. "I don't suppose ya offer them rooms fer a few hours at a time? Need a place ta close my eyes a little; not all night."

Eira gave a bit of a chuckle, "I see." So crowds weren't her thing? She was really lucky that she came during one of the lulls or else she might have fled instead of stopping in. That would have been a shame as Eira always like having company that was able to carry decent conversation. This woman was a highlight since it had been far too quiet up until her arrival. Giving a rather pleased smile she said, "I am glad to hear that you enjoyed the stew. Not normally what draws people but I am glad that it's still a highlight for someone." "Rooms for a few hours?" She inspected the girl in front of her for a moment before she said, "Normally I would say no but you don't seem as though you have anything inappropriate in mind so I might be able to make an exception for you. It will have to be one of the smaller rooms though." The blond appeared at least that was tired, not plotting anything, so Eira saw no reason to deny her a place to sleep. Tapping a finger to her painted lips she added quietly, "Just keep it between us."

Rhonann's cheeks flushed at the idea that she would use the room for anything other than to sleep. She understood the concern, but this was her they were talking about! "Certainly nobody else I want in there with me," she assured stiffly, though she let out a breath to ease her tone with a nod. "I appreciate yer generous nature. Don't need nothin' big. Just gotta fit me 'n' Mush here." Speaking of which, she plucked a morsel up from the bowl and set it on the stool in front of the spitorog. Knowing it would be a minute before he reacted to the snack, she turned right back to her meal and the woman keeping her company. "So, ah, ye run this joint then?" she asked, for some reason feeling rather comfortable to chat herself.

Eira gave a chuckle, "Good to hear." She wasn't against people renting out rooms as couples but she didn't want anyone just borrowing her rooms for a couple hours just for that. That wasn't the sort of establishment that she was running here. Giving the spitorog a glance, hoping that the creature wouldn't make a mess of things in the room that they were sharing. She really did need to hire on someone to do the cleaning that wasn't her. Some extra staff was always welcome when it came to that sort of thing. Giving a smile and a nod, "I am the one in charge, yes, though I run it along with the help of a few others." She was the one in charge but she doubted that she could do it herself. Giving a smile she asked, "What sort of work do you do? I can't say I've seen your sort of weapon often."

Rhonann nodded slowly. She could not imagine running a tavern herself. Staying in one place for very long was not in her blood at all, and to have to converse with so many different people all the time.. No thanks.
Her chewing slowed at the question to her, lips pursing slightly. "At the moment.. I guess'n I do whatever. No place special I call work." She gave the soup a stir, putting an elbow on the bar in order to rest her head on a hand. "I been.. busy.. with personal stuff. No time fer findin' anythin' solid. ...Kinda hopin' fer it ta be done soon."

"Ahhh, I see. Well that sort of 'do whatever' freedom is good for those that are young. I did a lot of wandering around with my troupe when I was your age." She said, giving the young woman a smile. Eira pushed away from the bar, reaching under the bar to fetch a ring of keys that were found there. She tucked them into her pocket for later since the blond would likely be wanting to sleep soon if Eira had to guess. At the mention of 'personal business' she found herself a tad curious but felt that without the girl sharing the news willingly it was business that was none of Eira's business. Instead she gave a smile and said, "Once you get everything wrapped up feel free to stop by and celebrate with us. Maybe take in a show or two."

Young... Was she really still young. Half the time, it felt as though she couldn't tell. Rhonann appreciated that the owner did not press for any further information into what had been keeping her busy. Those who chattered for a living sometimes didn't know where the boundaries were.
Seeing that the morsel on the stool was gone, she plucked another from the bowl to give her spitorog. "Troupe.. Yere an entertainer then?" she asked, thinking about the way the woman had walked. "Guessin' ya danced or somethin'? ..Ye're not bored sittin' in one place?"
