Once they had left the Rift the guardian cat had led the way towards the castle and her Generals office. They had the stone, well Benitoite had it right now, and it needed to be examined before it was returned to it’s place - within the necklace. She knew that Benitoite wouldn’t risk harming Bazzite just to provide him some pretty stone, he cared too much, so it was time for her to see if she picked up anything from it and run a few tests on it. She may not find out just what it did but she should be able to figure if it was potentially harmful to the youma.

So far it hadn’t provided harmful to Benitoite, or herself, but there really was no telling what it may do to a youma or if it would react to certain things - things which it may be subjected to whilst in Bazzite’s possession. Just the fact he was a youma could cause something to happen, something which hadn’t happened to herself or Benitoite, because they were not the same as him aura wise or species wise either. It might be why the necklace, and this particular stone, were still in that building and no smarter youma had grabbed them and run off with them.

As Benitoite took a seat at his desk she went to work with the stone, as he’d set it down on his desk for her, she really wished she could work on her own - without him. She knew however that youma did come in and out of the castle and youma weren’t not fans of guardian cats. Alone, without her General, any stray youma would try and make a meal of her. That was perhaps the one thing she disliked about her side - she wasn’t fully welcome. She couldn’t awaken a senshi on her own or power them up and the youma would eat her. She wished she could do more - be more independant. She couldn’t even get down here without asking the ashen blond to bring her down - it was just sad.

While she moved around and worked and checked out the crystal, using various things she kept in her General’s office, Katya made a few purring, or humming, noises her tail flicking about the desk as she moved around working. “It seems safe. I can’t explain the aura it lets off but it doesn’t seem hostile. It’s not chaotic….it’s just there. It’s not weak but...not powerful either. It’s hard to explain but you sense it also.” Though he hadn’t tested it as she had been, and still was, he could surely sense it’s aura.

“I’m surprised nothing picked up on it and grabbed it up or destroyed it yet.” The russian blue added while she sat down on the desk and pawed at the stone. “I’d like to say it’s safe for Bazzite. I can’t guarantee it though. I don’t think I’d ever do that, not fully, you can never predict every situation it might be placed in while around his neck - things it might be exposed to. But I don’t know what it’ll do when in possession of a youma….since I can’t test it on a youma.” She had no way to order youma, a youma would likely kill her for such a thing, and she was sure if benitoite asked a youma might just destroy it, eat it, or run off with it.

“The best we can do is figure it’s safe. That I’ve done my best and cross our fingers when we give it to him. We could bring it home and check it on you when powered down - simply for the sake of it.” Since it wasn’t likely to come into contact with a person who wasn’t powered up, or a youma. But it was worth finding out anyway - for science.

Smiling, as best as she could, when her General nodded, accepting the idea, she took the gemstone and tossed it once watching as it vanished off into subspace. “I’ll grab it from subspace once we get home.” She said nodding her head once before leaping into Benitoite’s arms. “We should go home now. I’d like to get the civilian testing done so I can get dinner and then we can gift this to Bazzite - together.” She wanted to see what the youma would think of the gemstone, and make sure it didn’t do anything to him.

Hitting the blond with a paw, when he laughed and commented on her being a pampered princess, she stuck her nose in the air. “I’m special - you’re lucky to have me.” She stated primly, right before nuzzling his face. “Now let's go home. I’ll check this over while you cook. Then we’ll summon him up into the city - he should like that.” And then they could present him the gemstone; he was sure to like it.

Cradled in her General’s arms Katya let him walk them out of his office, the door closing behind them, before walked down a hall where the blond apparently had to drop off a file. Once that was done, she’d ask him about the file's contents later, they were teleporting out of the castle and back to Destiny City. It wasn’t too far from home where they arrived, but it wasn’t too close either, they’d have a bit of a walk but she was fine with that - since he was carrying her.

“We should wait a block or so before you power down.” She spoke gently. Nuzzling into his uniform, inhaling the scent, she felt herself purring as she let her eyes close. Once they got home she’d have her answers, about the stone, hopefully and a full belly. “I do hope the stone comes up clean.” For Benitoite’s sake, so he could gift it to Bazzite and the pendant would be complete. She knew this meant a lot to the General, he wanted the best for Bazzite and it wouldn’t be so until it was complete. She’d cross her toes for him if she could, but she couldn’t.

As the General headed off she continued to cuddle, and nuzzle, him. It wasn’t until two blocks from home that he powered down and continued the rest of the way home as a civilian.
