Developing and Companies
CWF, formally known as "XWF" was created to set the bar and raise it, and become the land of opportunity, definitely before the WWE did it with their "Smackdown LIVE" brand of 2016 and so on.
CWF rebooted itself back in 2015, around the time most of our wrestlers were still employed at a inactive Revolution, which wasn't a problem because around that time, I was the owner of that company, and I figured using some of the guys there to help out CWF wasn't much, especially how things were going at the time.
But one thing's for sure, CWF was always, and will always be different. When things are equal, people are happier. And things are kept going, without a issue. CWF was founded back in 2010, and there hasn't been another company since then, and it's been ran by the same owner since it began. The other company, however, has been rebooted on four to five different occasions with three different names and several owners attempting at "getting it right", but yet, they just keep failing.
They have all the right tools, and all the right flashy software and technology, but here's how they keep failing.. here at CWF, everyone gets an opportunity. No matter who you are, we'll give you a chance, I WILL give you a chance. Hellfire FLOPPED in that other company, because people doubted his abilities. So, I brought him here. Here, we try to tell a story with every one of our wrestlers through each match. Some more in-debt than others. I put Hellfire's mind to work, and he develops a guy named Joey Garcia, a smug badass who's on a mission to becoming world champion. Before we even attempt to put the world title on him, we had to develop a story first. In order to do that, we put him in a storyline where he just takes out CWF legends. One pay-per-view, the plan was for him to take me out, and submit me clean. Bam. The kid got over, and heat in the process. The next pay-per-view, I don't remember clearly or not, not sure if he pinned or submitted Stone Cold Steve Austin, but he beat him. Gained more heat off the audience, and started looking stronger in his role.
The problem with the other company, was that the same guys were kept in the main event, while others were working like horses for little to nothing. Sometimes not even a spot on the main card. Without a doubt, I'd give up two-three wrestlers to sign that Aleks Mason guy. He's decimated competition in the dark match scene and has potential to be the next big thing, but yet, it's just another underrated, underutilized talent that was barely even put onto the main card, and when he was, it was basically for nothing major.
MATT ALLENS, a guy that pinned almost every guy on the roster, was never gonna get put on the map, until he seized an opportunity and attacked one of their top guys. Even with the performance given, it still wasn't enough to prove himself. I believe they had a pay-per-view where the fans voted for what the given options were, and I believe.. there was a match for their mid-card championship, and the options were laid out.. the choices were, "who faces such and such for the so and so championship" and Matt Allens was of the options to take on the champion, and the FANS voted for Matt Allens over a fatal 4 way because they knew of his abilities, and wanted to see what he could achieve with the given opportunity. He ended up winning the championship, and the sad thing is, I don't think he would've ever gotten that chance, if the fans never gave him that moment.
I've written a majority of storylines over there, and developed most of the characters, so when I brought Matt Allens to CWF, I knew just what I was working with. A WRESTLER who's either "put up or shut up" and isn't afraid to get his a** kicked, and his matches have told that throughout the months of his career. He comes to fight, he got his a** kicked on MANY occasions, but he's still that damn good regardless. Though sometimes, you have to be careful who they're put up against because you can either become a somebody or a nobody, and Matt Allens, honestly.. he became a nobody and him winning that mid-card belt in that other company is god giving that kid a second chance, and he took that second chance, giving himself heat by bringing that title in here, and shaping his in-ring abilities to being better than he was before.
