The Moon Hall is cavernous, it's stone walls decorated in tapestries, each representing a past leader of the division that's remained closest to the origins of hunters. The word knight, is never really bandied about, but it resonates in the Moon heart and mind and hand. At the end of the hall hangs the emblem of their current leader, the golden rose on a white background. Beneath it sits Magdelyn Ford, very tall, very pale, woefully plain and young to command this ancient hall.

As hunters filter in to sit at the long table that fills the hall, each is given a critical look over. Dirty and unkempt hunters would later receive a notice and a pay dock, In the field, not everything could be pristine, but in their own hall, facing their leader and peers, it was expected that Moon Hunters would respect the occasion.

"The third quarter of the Moon begins now," the traditional opening is sounded and Magdelyn's solemn voice, and the room erupts in light and movement as the traditional action follows: each hunter summons their weapon, and places it before them on the table. Those with oversized weapons set them behind their chair.

Magdelyn's shield casts a gentle glow over her features, making them momentarily lovely. "Thank you for your sacrifice, thank you for your growth, thank you for your strength and tending to your oath."

She sits once more and nods to the hunter on her left to begin.

MOON DIVISION MEETING:

This is where all characters start for week 2! All you need to do here is RP/fulfill the a reaction post of your character attending the meeting and then you can get started on all the prp/solo/orps for week 2. We also ask if characters can come back to fill the division assessment (or do it ASAP), seen on the second post, which grants bonus rewards as part of the MAIN STORYLINE.

gaia_crown [ MOON DIVISION GMS ]
gaia_star [ Magdelyn ] rped by lizbot
gaia_star [ Jiao ] + [ Aidel ] rped by Molten Tigrex + Grifferie

gaia_crown [ DIVISION ASSESSMENT ] Each division also has a division assessment. This is part of your character's MAIN STORYLINE task for their Week 2 beginning. Simply do the task in this thread, and rp out as necessary. You can run prps/orps/solos outside of this thread too before OR after completing the assessment, definitely don't let it wall you from doing other things as well for your week 2 character!

gaia_crown [ ADDITIONAL IC INFO : This is a division meeting. For Moon, it's a place to get approval for projects, ask questions, share ideas. For this AU, it's also a place to air out grievances and take them to immediate trial by combat if necessary, so that such things don't appear in the field, where all need to be trusted with each other's lives. This is a chance for you to introduce your character to others and establish some world building to help you on your way for this part of the event.

gaia_crown [ DIVISION ROLES : It may be hard to understand what your character has to do

  • Trainee : sparring, grunt work primarily on the island, learning about enemies and Deus history, assisting in missions in small roles, basic first aid

  • Intermediate : sparring with emphasis on defensive strategy and tactics, assisting in escort missions, advanced repair projects, pairing up with Sun hunters in the field, shadowing field medics and infirmary techs

  • Full : sparring with focused intention on learning how to deal with specific situations, sparring to stay in shape if not missions are available, advanced escort missions, accompanying trainees through basic missions, pairing up with Sun hunters in the field, civilian protection and rescue, acting as a field medic, planning and building fortifications

  • Specialized : specialized and full are considered the same rank outside of the context of said specialization. Moon specializations come in a wide range, but usually fall into one of these categories: protecting; building; field healing. They can revolve around educating other hunters, leading teams, specific field scenarios, and whatever else you can come up with that makes sense as a part of Moon Division's work

(If you're having any issues or questions please post in the QNA or rp anything out and quote lizbot, or even ICly ask! )

Aidel Marshall, a gentle looking woman with long dark hair and a very frilly outfit, introduces herself as one of the Moon Assistants - Her specialty being a field medic. Her weapon, an very large golden sword rests behind her chair, and her medkit sits next to it.

Next to her is Jiao, a very petite, asian Hunter wearing a ridiculously frilly dress under her coat - a dress that is suspiciously similar to those of the infamous princess golems. Her specialization is in defensive training, and. When she's not running surprise drills or overseeing training courses, rumor has it she's a bit of an underground gambler.

    OOC

    - - MOON DIVISION EVALUATION - -
    ► ► ► ► ► ► ► ► ► ► P r i n c e s s - R e s c u e

    ▐▐ [ THE TRAINING COURSE ]

    • All Moon hunters must practice protecting the stupid and pretty incompetent.

    • You collect defence points through running this course, this is what dictates your score out of ten and ultimately your pay bonus for completing the run.

    • Your princess can be anyone, existing hunter in this side of the meta or a stranger.

    ▐▐ [ PART 1 ]

    Type of Golem

The first thing you need to do is collect your golem, princess golems are golems engineered to resemble the likeness of an existing hunter. Appearance however is where the similarity ends. These golems are dressed in all manner of wild and wonderful princess outfits, ranging from skimpy gauzy numbers to huge elaborate ball gowns. Whatever you can imagine! The lab techs are very bored people. Though they sound like their original self their personality is where the golems deviate most sharply from normal humans, capable only of the most rudimentary thought, coming across as very dense indeed, without a strong sense of self preservation.

    • Roll 1d6, this determines the nature of your chosen golem and what sort of impact this will have on your defence.

    • Fiesty▐▐ (1 defence points +2 bonus HP in stage 3)

A feisty golem is one which is surprisingly hostile, up for arguments and being quite snarky with their defenders. They are difficult to keep behind defensive lines and often overestimate their ability to take on shadowlings on their own.

    • Obedient▐▐ (3 defence points)

An obedient golem is one which follows orders without too much trouble, when you tell it to stay, it stays, when you tell it to go, it goes. Often a little morose.

    • Wild▐▐ (2 defence points -1 HP in stage 3)

A wild golem is prone to running off when their tender isn’t looking at them, but for the most part stays in one spot and is fairly controllable.

    • Malfunctioning▐▐ (0 defence points but add +5 to this golem’s HP in stage 3)

The malfunctioning golem is one where their personality has malfunctioned in a concerning way, sometimes speaking entirely in another language, sometimes acting more like an action hero than a princess. In any case it is unpredictable and prone to getting hurt.

    • Hyperactive▐▐ (1 defence points)

A hyperactive golem tends to run off and get itself hurt, climbs up trees and generally is a handful to handle.

    • Sluggish▐▐ (2 defence points)

A sluggish golem is either very sleepy or damaged in a way which forces it to slur its words and move at half of normal speed.

    ▐▐ [ PART 2 ]

    Building fortifications

    • Randomise a number from 1-35

You must build fortifications around your princess making sure they are kept safe from the coming attack of shadowlings. You are able to use whatever you like to make this, though the selection of materials varies depending on who set them out.

    • If you roll 1-10 – All that is available is old cardboard boxes and other flimsy junk, the barrier is terrible and slumps hopelessly
      (1 defence point)
    • If you roll 11-20 – A little better but not perfect there are beams of wood and some plywood boards, even a few nails are handy to build a secure perimeter.
      (2 defence points)
    • If you roll 21-23 – Some weird steel bars and stuff are here, they are difficult to move, but can be used
(3 defence points and a 5 HP bonus in stage 3)
    • If you roll 24-35 - Score! There are actual bricks here! Lets see what you can do!
      (4 defence points)

    ▐▐ [ PART 3 ]

    The Defence

    • Randomise a number from 1-30 for the damage sustained.

Your golem has 30HP plus or minus the bonuses from the first round. Your roll is how much damage your golem takes, compare what is left to the below list.

    • 0HP or less
How did you even manage this? Your golem is destroyed Your instructor is so impressed with your ineptitude they give you a bonus (though expect a Life invoice in the mail).
      (3 points)
    • 1-10
The princess is a complete mess, ripped up with a torn dress. She/he is not fit to be seen by his/her subjects
      (1 points)
    • 11-20
Pretty rough around the edges really, not a good showing overall.
      (2 points)
    • 21-30
Looking good! Just a few frayed edges and a bit of hair out of place, nothing a comb can't fix
      (3 points)
    • 30+ Impeccable. Does your princess even look BETTER than when you got them??
(You get 5 points for doing a fantastic defending job! (please note you can’t claim over 10 points total)

In the last stretch, you need to defend your princess against an assault of shadowlings, your efficiency in doing this will be dictated by how well you fortified your area.

SUM UP THE POINTS /10, that's their pay bonus (Which they can turn in for "currency")

    Lucien Red

He was, for reasons unknown to himself, nervous.

He shouldn't have been nervous. This was just a Division Meeting, after all, with his division leaders, whom he'd worked with in the past. This wasn't anything special. This was not something that he needed to worry about, because everything was totally, completely, absolutely fine.

Except for the part about everything being totally, completely, absolutely fine.

It didn't help that Lucien was a nervous sort in general, but this mostly stemmed from a desire to please, rather than a generalized sort of thing. He liked being a hunter; he liked being able to do things; the Moon Division was a good place to be, with a lot of really great opportunities to really prove himself as a defensive hunter.

He still felt very very small.

Especially in the enormous room. Lucien twiddled his thumbs and tried not to look too out of place among everyone else, but at the very least, he could say that his own clothing had been cleaned and tidied up to the best of his own abilities. And he had spent a long time making sure that he looked, not just presentable, but good. First impressions and all that.

Which turned out to be a good thing, because the Division Lead was giving them all once overs.

Lucien had never been so grateful for the invention of an iron before.

Inside of his head, Tenka, his weapon, remained silent and watchful.

    Aya

Aya was leaning back in her own chair, glancing over to Lucien with a slight bit of interest, but remained politely quiet and kept to herself about it. He looked so nervous that she didn't want to call out to him and put him in the spotlight, but oh... was she tempted.

Her staff was laid on the table in front of her, but she paid it no mind at the moment; she was, for all intensive purposes, waiting for orders.

Of course, she didn't mind waiting for any prospective jobs at the moment... but she knew she definitely itched to find something to do. The ends of Aya's fingertips slid onto the table, and she just barely caught them from tapping before her eyes shifted to the side, blinking slowly.

Her contacts blurred her vision ever so slightly, and she raised her hands to rub at her eyes in a light manner, attempting to blink the world back into focus.

Contacts were a pain, but she so loved to see the looks on other's faces when they did a double take at her eyes.

Some reactions were priceless, and more than worth it.

"Are you bored, Hunter Aya? Does the fault lay with the chair or your spine, Hunter Aya?" Magdelyn does not have to raise her voice for it to carry.

Lucien received both a nod and a narrowed gaze. Was he, perhaps, guilty of something?

    Haddy

The storm had been a ferocious thing, and the laying damage it caused would take weeks, months even, to sort out. There were forms to be sorted through, water damage in need of repair, entire walls that would have to be replaced. It wasn't the worst disaster to but their island in recent memory, but it was up there in terms of lingering effects. It would certainly pose a challenge to your in Moon, who were required to keep up a certain level of appearance, what with the majority of their clothing getting ruined.

Still Haddy showed up to the meeting looking much the same as she did most days. Her hair was done, her clothing was clean. It was what was required, so it was what was delivered.

Her whip could on the table in front of her, Haddy sat with her back straight and her legs crossed, hands folded in her lap. She was dutiful, patient, and outwardly at peace. Beneath that so careful exterior, a whirl wind of worry and anxiety.

There was a neat endless list of things that needed to be done, and not enough hours in the day to see to even a fraction of it. This meeting, however, came as something of a relief. It was a small slice of stark normalcy, in an otherwise chaotic week.

    Lucien Red

There were others that were slowly starting to file into the room. Lucien glanced quickly up at all of them, smoothing an unconscious hand up and down the front of his vest in an effort to remind himself that he looked very good and very presentable and that he had nothing to worry about at all, everything was fine, he was going to make an amazing impression on everyone, and -

    Focus.

Lucien caught Aya's brief glance and offered her a bright smile in return, trying to remember all of his cousin's tips and advice on how to make it in the world. Ren was currently off on an assignment - or a mission -
or something - with his partner somewhere in the arctic, and had been a hunter for several years before Lucien had also somehow - miraculously - been recruited. And by that time, he'd pretty much given Ren up for dead, since that was what everyone back in the human world had said, anyway.

He fiddled with the tail of the weapon currently sitting on the floor beside his desk; the meteor hammer was a little too big to rest directly on the top, but the feathered chain lay draped over Lucien's lap, and he was trying not to make too much noise, even as the Division Leader - Magdelyn, was that what she'd said her name was? - gave him a pointed look. He tried to stop shrinking and sat up a little straighter, remembering what Ren had said about making it look like you belonged there.

His gaze flickered towards Aya briefly, again, and then to the dark haired hunter sitting off somewhere to Lucien's left, Lucien offering them both what he hoped was a cheerful, friendly smile.

    Nia

When she arrived, it was within a timely manner, entering the room with her back straight and her strides purposeful. Nia held herself with a controlled confidence, her expression rather stoic as she picked a seat, long and slender fingers toying with the bangle on her wrist that housed her weapon.

Sitting at the edge of her chair, she made sure to give about an air of calm even if uncertainty swelled in her thoughts, pushing against the silent one of her partner.

There was nothing to worry about, she told herself.

Even if she looked as if she believed that, she knew, inwardly, that she did not. Things would be fine, eventually, and that was what mattered.

"Not bored. Just waiting." Aya replied with a slow smile, the smile matching the deviousness in her eyes.

She was all for beating down some Horsemen... but information was just as important. It wouldn't do well to go in blind, after all.

Leaning back in her chair slightly (but not enough to tip over), Aya put her hands behind her head as her smile turned to an amused smirk.

"Information is needed. I'm not leaving here and going in blind to a Horseman battle."

She offered another comforting smile to Lucien. "Name's Aya. I don't think I've seen you before. Hello!"

    Clidua Serce

Clidua was having quite a bad mood, it was hard to pick a lovely outfit for the important division meeting when she had only a few articles not destroyed by the damn hurricane. Even the second floor of the dorm building was a disaster, only a week for getting things back into order was far from insufficient. However, hunter were busy individuals. She hoped the meeting would involve something worth her precious time.

There she arrived quite early, taking her seat at the Moon Hall. It often gave her an illusion that she was inside a throne room. Anicent and spacious, she heard that the ancestors of the first batch of hunters were knights. She guessed she was glad to born in the modern time, heavy armor was never her taste.

Shortly, as more hunters dashed in at the last minute, their leader announced the meeting started. They performed the tradition thing, Clidua placed One behind her chair and wondered who thought of that kind of weird ritual-like tradition. She didn't have any religional belief at all, the only one she trusted fully was herself, maybe One and her twin brother as well. That was also why she braved Magdelyn's judgemental glance with a mild smile.

Protecting whatever can be said to be Moon's core, she enjoyed her job as she had a weird habit of making people owing her. On the outside, she seemed like a sweet harmless lady. Inside, she was a queen who loves to order people and seek excitements from gambling.

One was her number one servant, he had a submissive personality which fitted well with Clidua. He was capable and wise but a bad enabler, unlike her twin brother Roman. There were many people questioned she would best suit Sun Division with a strong passion and loves to take challenge but she still did well in Moon Division.

    Jacob Spinar

Jacob was exhausted, the storm as ferocious as it was the cause of said exhaustion. For a moon specialized in building this was even more true, Jacob had spent - well he lost count of time now planning reconstructs and helping getting things ready, the general. What of his clothing that remained and wasn't smelling of mold thanks to tracking through water damaged areas to make assessments, was worn clean and pressed. His face, hands washed just prior but still holding just a faint trace of dirt under the nail from wall rumble removal. Hair was tied up in a neat ponytail though a ruffle of wavy bangs remained outside of the tight hold to frame half his face.

As he entered pale blue eyes ran the room for a familiar face to sit by, when one was found it happened to at least be a pretty one. Haddy. The woman had been picked out to enjoy his company for the meeting, in very confident strides he made his way across the room with a wide charming smile to anyone who bothered to look. Even the lead that was giving them all the eye, Jacob may have fluttered his lashes innocently when that particular gaze landed on him. "Scoot over.." He teased lowly when getting within Haddy's earshot, pulling out a chair next to her before sitting down on a wider stretch of lips. It was then that his own weapon was summoned, the brilliant blue toned gun laid out before him on the table.

He was ready to get this party started.

    Haddy

That smile of Lucien's was returned in kind, accompanied by a small wiggle of her fingers. She thought perhaps she had seen him before, though couldn't quite recall when or wear. It wasn't exactly a large island, though. Chances were good she'd crossed paths with all the hunters that resided there.

Her attention only lingered for a moment though, until Magdelyn's curt voice drew her focus up to the lovely woman. Bright eyes flicked from her to the purple haired hunter she was addressing, then back again, and dark brows arched in surprise. Not just at the tone of Aya's response, but the content as well. What battle was she speaking of? Had something else happened that required their immediate attention?

A few more hunters had wandered in, one of which Haddy knew all too well. She gave Spinner a stern look as he took a seat beside her. A warning that he had better be on his best behavior.

"There will be a number of undercover missions this week to Clan business fronts. However, if any of you are incapable of showing proper posture and respect, in front of fellow hunters or under the guise of a horseman, you will remain on island performing janitorial duties. Hunter Aya," Magdelyn's eyes had been sweeping across the room, but now they refocused on the huntress. "You have three choices: you can leave this meeting and join another division's and I will put your transfer papers through tonight; you may defend your disrespect through combat; and thirdly, you can choose to sit up and show respect for those gathered."

All four chair legs slammed onto the floor as Aya's smile disappeared, her mouth twisting as she folded her hands in her lap, hunching under Magdelyn's gaze.

    "My apologies, ma'am."

She hadn't meant any disrespect, but now that she thought about it, it could have easily be seen as such.

Aya's entire face was flushed with embarrassment, but she didn't say another word at that moment, feeling that she'd been thoroughly schooled.
