The somewhat small, volcanic islands that make up the fire nation but aren't officially apart of Ember Island or Caldera are colliqually known as the Blazing Badlands. Rogue firebenders live here, some fugitives, some simply not under the rule of anyone. It is dangerous, for the dragons in their fledgling stages roam the wilds in addition to bandit fire benders, untamed like the dragons they share territory with.
