Jeremiah is young - though he does not look it with the silver hair, which he never hides under his uniform hat if he can help it - and always working. It keeps him from thinking too much or from getting-

Well, not into trouble but from getting into something for sure.

Today he found what was clearly signs of someone trespassing. It doesn't take him long to find her. A young woman with fiery hair and a camera. His eyes - forever marking him as magical - are bright and focused on her as he calls out.

"Miss?" Never a yell but always heard. "You're on private property."

This is how Jeremiah meets Leanne.

a bitter pill

It is the day after she showed up at the department and was returned home that Jeremiah shows up.

He wraps her up in his arms and squeezes. The relief that she is alright is palpable in his touch. There are other emotions but they're kept in check. Mostly because he doesn't think America needs more anger.

"I'm glad you're back," he said, loosening his hold. Though Jeremiah was still at a loss with the entire incident.

magical friends

Not that Jeremiah ever really says anything about it but he is grateful nonetheless. Being in Ashdown is not so bad, he's not the only person with magic.

It's Leanne that makes sure he feels a little less out of place just because he's got strange eyes and other abilities.

Even if he's tired of people thinking magic was just something that he could do instead of a very specialized skill set.

where are we going

Jeremiah shows up with a picnic basket and offers America his arm. "It's been a while and it's a nice day," he tells her, "so it's definitely time for us to have another picnic."

It has, honestly, been months since the last one.

the broken prison

Before the attack, but not long before, Jeremiah showed up on her 'doorstep'. Congratulations were the order of business, after all, she was going to get married but there was another thing to discuss.

"We're not sure how," Jeremiah said quietly, "but Liam is now free of his prison."
