[ JOB LISTING ] Inventory Manager [ DIFFICULTY LEVEL ] gaia_stargaia_stargaia_star [ TASK ] Monitor and list all incoming and outgoing inventory.
"Okay, look," Adelaide seems very irritated. "We just had two trucks come in and drop off their goods. Those nincompoops," she points at two part-timers, "unloaded everything without marking things down." Eight large boxes are sitting on the dock.
She hands you a clip-board. "I need you to check each box's invoice and decide where it goes. If the invoice says 'Cavalry' you just put an X here," she points to the bottom left corner of the paper, "and have those boobs stack it over there. Don't actually count Cavalry boxes in the total number of boxes on the form. If it says anything else on the box, I need you to open it and make sure the invoice matches. Fill out your report when you're done."
Roll 8 d4: These are the boxes, and there are 8 of them. For each box follow the instructions below and RP accordingly. --If you roll doubles, it means you have two of that particular box and need to follow it's instructions twice. Same with triples, etc.
This box says it holds one complete silver dinner set. Roll 1 d10 to see what's missing.
-----If you roll a: -------1. Everything is there. -------2. It is missing the gravy boat. -------3. Two spoons are no where to be found. -------4. One serving platter is listed, but not in the box. -------5. Three forks have magically disappeared. -------6. One spoon and on butter knife are missing. -------7. Everything is there. -------8. Two plates are missing. -------9. There are NO forks in this set. WHAT?! -------10. Everything is there, but the large serving platter has a huge gouge on it. Best make a note.
This box is supposed to hold on large grandfather clock. Best check for damages. Roll 1 d6. If even it's in perfect condition. If odd the glass on the front is broken. You had better make a note.
Three large tapestries from the year 1400. Roll 1 d4. If you roll a 1 or 2, one tapestry is missing. If you roll a 3, they all have water damage. If you roll a 4, everything looks good!
This box is labeled "Cavalry". No need to check the contents, simply RP ordering the part-timers to stack it in the corner.
When you are done checking all 8 boxes, fill out the form below and post it in your last post.
"Thank you," Adelaide says as you hand over your form.

It was the second time she took a part-time in the Antique store run by one of the War heirs. Seeing her last performance on the position of the inventory manager, she was given the same job again.
Siluhe raised an eyebrow at Adelaide, some of the part timers messed things up once again. She wondered who was the one keeping those mistake makers or whether there was a loophole over the newbie training session. Anyway, she had eight large boxes to check, not marked.
The petite horseman hit her pen lightly against the clip-board. Last time, she got a partner and they tackled sixteen boxes together. This time, she was alone to deal with eight boxes. It was sad she didn't have someone to chat with, but she would be capable to do the job on her own, she believed.

First, she moved those boxes carefully down one-by-one, there might be fragile items inside the boxes. She then slid the cutter over the packing tape and opened the first box. It was tall and heavy, in it rested a large grandfather clock.
Knowing it probably weighed something, she found a stool and laid it behind before she raised the clock slowly. After examination, it seemed the clock was perfect.

Box 2 - Three Large Tapestries
The next box was slightly heavier than the first box, it was wide and thick. Inside were tapestries. She counted them, and matched with the checklist she was given. It wrote three in total, so one was missing. Siluhe made a note and moved on.

She got two boxes in similar size and shape together, and her guess was right. It was another box holding the tapestries and unfortunately, one of them was missing again.

Box 4 - Large Grandfather Clock
Siluhe pushed the finished boxes away gently to give more space in front of her. The fourth box was a tall but thin one, she bet it held a grandfather clock. It was indeed what she expected, but the front glass of the lovely clock had a long crack along the height of it. Maybe they need to talk to the delivery company? She noticed the fragile label which should be stuck on the box surface was not there.

She stared with great interest at the next box, it was the one labelled "Cavalry". Its size was about the height of a human and with width that equaled to two adults spreading their arms fully. What could be in the box? Loads of spears? Modern pistols?
With great determination, she managed to shove the box away without peeking.

Siluhe counted the remaining boxes, there were just three more to check. She noticed that small size box created some clear clinks when she was moving it. It turned out the box had a shiny silver dinner set. That's lovely, she had a liking towards shiny things.
Spoons, checked! Forks, checked! Gravy boat and butter knife were there same as the plates and the serving platter -
- Wait.
Why there was a big gouge on the platter?! What a shame!

Ah, another box labelled Cavalry, don't tempt her! Siluhe quickly put it aside and focused on the last box she needed to check.

Box 8 - Large Grandfather Clock
Oh my, another clock has the front glass broken. The petite horseman frowned at the hole with scattered glasses debris and hoped Adelaide had bought an insurance for it.

After she finished with the checking, she filled in the report details. Siluhe made note of the missing tapestries as well as the damage the goods experienced. She also added a remark suggesting a talk with the delivery company and those workers handling the unload. They needed to be more careful and sincere.
