There were so many names in this phonebook but Joy could only say a few of them were actual Hunters. Rayu wasn't a hunter, probably a student, definitely not a Horseman given that stunt he'd pulled. The discovery made Joy question so many things.
Like who of her friends as Liya could possibly want her dead as Joy? She had to be careful in her search and figured she could go through the more recently made friends. Perhaps they were being drawn together (even if it was through jobs) because there was an actual bond of friendship born from the Island.
Shet, Joy, < you are so ******** corny > she grumbled, ignoring the stabbing pain from her arm as she pulled out her phone.

Cadence sighed as she worked, writing a quick note in her journal to look for Caiden and a hit that she wasn't a horseman. She hoped that they would find a way out of here before she forgot again.
The reaper was snapped out of her thoughts of home when her phone buzzed. Pulling it out of one of the hidden pockets in her sleeves. (Admittedly that was cool, pockets everywhere.)

After sending the text she changed into 'human cloths' and slipped her phone in a pocket. These cloths where closer to her normal ones, she was afraid that the long sleeve of the horseman out fit would snag on things. That would be a dead give away that she wasn't a horseman.
After she finished changing she head out to the war common rooms.

Even when she was a regular human, Joy grew up in the tropics. So War's choice of clothing (or lack thereof) didn't really bother her too much. Also the wings were awesome but she really shouldn't think about them too much. Performance anxiety probably.
By the time "Chao" arrived, Joy was pacing and busy rehearsing a spiel to try to get her answers without being too obvious what she was trying to do.

Cadence waved to Liya as she approached the war horseman. But was she really? Or was she like Cadence, a Halloweener with the body and memories of one?
"Hey, Whats up?" She asked ask she came to a stop a few feet from her friend.
Joy would have normally given a friendly wave and offered a warm hug in greeting to any of her friends. But despite what "Liya" thought of "Chao", the hunter couldn't truly be certain it was appropriate behavior.
She brought out her phone and began scrolling through the messages until she got to the one from Terr. "Did you understand what Terr was talking about?"

Cadence frowned when Liya didn't rush up to give her a hug, it was unlike her. Unless the 'real' her wasn't like that, assuming she wasn't horseman off course.
Her eyes widened when the other brought up the text that Terr brought up. Did she also realize he was talking about hunters. Ah what if Liya was trying to out Terr, even if the real Terr was a hunter, in this world he was her friend and she didn't want anything bad to happen to him, but she also didn't want to lie to Liya.
"A little, why?" She asked. "Is he in trouble or something." Hopefully she'd be able to warn Terr first if Liya planed on doing something.

"Terr could be in trouble or he could be starting trouble." Joy didn't want to alarm her friend (although it might already be too late for that) but she also had to know the truth. She drew a deep breath, "Chao isn't your real name, is it? Because Liya's not my real name."

"I don't think Terr would start trouble." Cadence responded. She nodded when Liya said her name wasn't Liya. "Your not a pony either huh? I'm Cadence, Cadence Tsukino." She waited a moment before venturing to add more into, hoping everything would be fine. "Reaper, you? You a Halloweener or a hunter like Terr?" She asked.
Ah ********, she's a Halloweener. Joy was mildly disappointed to learn that yet another person she'd come to like and consider a friend here in Dusk wasn't a fellow Hunter. "I'm not a Reaper, I'm a Hunter. Moon. Name's Joy, actually. Ah, kwan, you're not from Amityville are you?" she wasn't sure if she wanted Chao, or in this case Cadence, to be a student there. If she was, it meant there was some chance that they would encounter each other in the Haunted House once they got out of this crazy-a** dream place.

So she was a hunter, both her and Terr where hunters, where all of her new friends hunters? She chewed on the inside of her mouth in thought. What would happen when they got out? They where allies now because they had a common game but would they still be friends, or at least not enemy in the real world?
Joy huh? That was an interesting name, and she was slightly amused that her friend was from moon. Moon related people flock together huh? She didn't understand what Kwan was but she guessed it wasn't good. Yes, I go to Amityville Academy. She replied softly.
"I hope you don't take this the wrong way but when we got out of here, you really should stay away from the Haunted House. If we meet, I won't hurt you but iunno about the other Hunters." Joy said grimly, "I know some of them gots, like, huge beef against Halloween the way some of you students got issues against us."
Joy's thoughts went to a certain water djinn and how she nearly drowned during their encounter.
