What the ********? What the flying ******** on a Death Clan's stave was the word JOY doing carved on Liya's arm? She was alone at the time when she noticed the dull ache on her arm. Looking down revealed makeshift bandages wrapped around the limb. She ignored the pain and undid the bandages enough to find out why it hurt.
Of course she announced it to nearly everyone who would listen on the phone but there was no clue as to how she got it and who the dumb, dead ******** was that did it. It was best that she be left alone to work through her rage at the moment.
Which of course meant that she was going to have company.

Rayu was actually rather annoyed. He had found his own message after trying to pull bow for practice. It was really hard to shoot when your arm hurt like that. and his just ached. Of course he investigated and he found a very disturbing message underneath.
His message said something about a cage and he hated cages. The implications of it suggested that he was in one? But he could not see any cage. He couldn't think of how anyone would have gotten close enough to actually hurt him. It would take some time to write out a message like that and it was rather neatly done, like he must have been unconscious. The memory loose fusterated him.
What was worst was that Liya also had some. And she also had a message. Considering they were friends, and war buddies, it really bothered him that they both had messages written into their flesh. Who would be insane to do that to not one but two horsemen?
Rayu of course had to go find her and came flying down in a swoop.

Perhaps this was the worst time for company. Perhaps it was the best time. Liya sensed someone was swooping down onto her and this was met with her daggers being summoned. She twisted midair to greet this unwanted visitor by brandishing her weapons at them.
Dark eyes glowered, challenging an attack and warning to be left alone.

Daggers didn't deter the determined. Especially not a determined war horseman.
"Liya. Let me see." and he waltzed right into range, not caring that he was likely to be stabbed.
"You don't need to see s**t!" She snarled, striking at Rayu but with the flat of her blades. But in spite of her own anger raging inside her, she still spotted the bandages, the fresh bandages on her friend's arm. Dark eyes locked onto the bindings for a brief moment before she looked to Rayu.
"What the ******** do you have on?" Her voice started out as a horrified whisper with seething fury hot on its trails.

Rayu blocked the knife with his bad arm. If he was going to get cut, might as well be on the same spot.
"Pants." Because he certainly wasn't wearing a shirt. He knew what she was talking about, but he didn't feel like explaining.
There were times when Liya played along with Rayu's silliness and antics and sarcasm. There were times when she outright encouraged his snark and banter. This time? This was decidedly not one of them.
She dismissed her daggers so that she could have her arms free for when she leapt at him in an attempt at tackling him to the ground. She definitely went for his pant-clad legs, specifically to collapse the back of his knees.

He was expecting attacks to his face and body. That was where he was read to defend. He was not expecting a full flung knee attack. Rayu crumpled, holding his bandaged arm to his chest so it wouldn't hit and rolled as best he could onto his side.
"Hey hey!" he batted at her with wings, but didn't make any attempts to get up. He knew better.
"No, you!" was about the level of maturity Liya's responses were capable of being in their current state. "Why's your arm got bandages?" she demanded to know. She was the mother hen so let her mother you, Rayu!

"Because it's all cut up. Leave it alone." he swatted at her more.
She was small but stubborn and a lot faster than most gave her credit for, which allowed her to unravel enough of the bandages that made it obvious "You got words on you." she said quietly.

Rayu looked away. "Yeah." The wounds seeped a bit without the bandages. There was a lot that his body was trying to heal because whoever did this didn't care that it would be hurting a while.
Wordlessly, she began to wind the bandages back onto his arm. She was trembling in barely suppressed rage. It was bad enough that someone had the nerve to mark her. But they dared to mark one of her clansmen? They dared to mark Rayu.
She drew in a deep breath, trying to keep her voice even though black hate tinged every note when she asked "What do yours say?"

Rayu allowed for the mom treatment. They needed to stay on a little longer, anyway. "It says, escape the cage.". He frowned. " But I don't know what cage or who put it there. I hate cages...."
