[ TASK ]
As one of the engineers it is your job to help apply the work of the metalworkers into new technology and develop products to better observer humanity and reap their data. This is where the hardware side of development goes on, though some software is tested at this level.
[ MECHANICS ]
Roll 1d6 twice, each roll is half the day.
- You set up a complex motherboard array, newly developed peripheral, hardware or something else in development and yet when it is plugged in, for no discernible reason you can figure out it shorts out and goes on fire.
- You come up with a more efficient way of drawing heat away from hot machinery in a flat plane, if you have already rolled this, you simply develop this further.
- Somehow you accidentally stumble upon a means of pulling data from a data line without being easily detectible
- You help to develop the ability to make everything smaller, phones, cables and spying devices.
- You spend all of your shift trying to figure out the problems with a complex circuit and even with the help of your supervisors, no process is made at all.
- You work hard all day and get your break extended by Tyr who is very pleased with the whole department's hard work.

Terr was back to working with his hands for his clan. He would have preferred to work with metal like last time but this was almost as good. Once again, he was presented with the schematics and designs he would be working with and Terr had the most intense sensation of deja vu.
Narrowing his eyes, he still went about setting up the complex motherboard array, checking with the details now and again before adding the newly developed peripheral and hardware. He wanted to leave out the fresh out of development hardware but this apparently was going to be the stress test for this system. He had his doubt about it working and when he finally it plugged in, he saw sparks and took several quick steps back when it shorts out and catches on fire.

Alright, that set up was going to haunt Terr for the rest of his life in the Clan it seemed. But he wasn't going to dwell on it. Not for too long at least. He still had another shift to get through and this time, at least he knew his objective. It was a lot clearer than what was expected of him in his first shift.
Make everything smaller, they told him. When he asked what it was that was supposed to be made smaller, he was told "Everything." And that included phones, cables, and spying devices among others. Terr smiled, listing down components that could be shrunk without necessarily sacrificing quality and compromising what the device was supposed to do.
