Bix, head swimming with a mix of memories, had only one thing he could think of to do. He had to find someone, anyone he was close with, and make sure it wasn't just him. How long would the clarity last?
The hunter was a horseman now, a war horseman, and while he was sure Gale wouldn't appreciate him being nearly naked and covered in his trophies of battle, he didn't much care. He knew the other was conquest, though the names swirled Gale... Xiao Lang..
He found the conquest floor and headed straight for where Gale lived. The navigation was like second nature, a disturbing lifetime of memories that now confused him but he clung to his own true memories like a lifeline, unsure when they would fade.

Gale had spent the last twenty minutes trying to resist the urge to fling everything in his - the - room out of the nearest window and then set it all on fire.
Or just set the room on fire in general, but unfortunately he needed it intact, because he needed to actually look around and figure out what the bloody hell was going on. He didn't appreciate waking up to - this. And he most certainly did not appreciate waking up to the fact that he was dating someone in this weird, twisted world.
Or that he was short. Very short.
The door of Gale's room opened to reveal, not Gale, but the tall, willowy form of Jinhai instead, looking faintly amused and dressed in the simple garb of a Conquest aide; which, unsurprisingly, fit him quite well, as a matter of fact. Gale was behind him, dressed in a high necked set of black and gold robes and a pair of horns that did nothing to increase his lack of height.
His head jerked up as Jinhai stepped aside.
"Bix?" said Gale in disbelief, because really - there was no mistaking that pale, white haired figure. "Bix, is that you?"
"s**t.. Gale.." His eyes went over Jinhai first, stammering nearly, "Mina's um.. she's um.."
He'd ditched her and if he was very unlucky she'd simply track him down here.
"It's me." He was lean and pale, whiter than he'd ever been as a human, yet with a concerted effort to make him whiter. Bones, scrounged metal, and smears of white and red paint covered him but not much else. He seemed to be a war horseman who embraced their own cultural garb more than others.
He almost charged Gale in his excitement, grabbing him by the shoulders and shaking him, as the iridescent white wings on his back rustled and settled again "Look at us.."

Jinhai was still standing by the door, dark brows furrowed in mild curiosity as he gently but firmly touched Bix's shoulder and nudged him further into the room, closing the door behind them all.
Gale, on the other hand, was still trying to make sense of it all. Especially since Bix was all but bare, too skinny and still too pale, all decked out in what could only be Famine attire. He was still staring even as Bix latched onto him, Gale giving a delayed squawk of indignation.
"What the bloody hell are you wearing? Or not wearing?" Gale demanded. "What on earth am I wearing? Why are we Horsemen?"
He peered around Bix to look at Jinhai, who merely shrugged and said, "I have no idea either, I'm afraid, but, er...you look - "
"Shut up," said Gale quickly, and turned back to Bix. "What are you doing here? Do you know what's going on? You've got bloody wings for Pete's sake."
"Wings.." Bix's wings shifted and lifted and he got that goofy smile of his, "That part's cool."
He did let go of Gale though, instead stepping to Jinhai and poking him in the arm lightly as if he were making sure he was real, "Mina's my sister." Which was slightly better than possessive angry snake weapon, now that he thought of it.
"We're warriors. War.." Bix shook his decorated hair, beads and bones and leather wraps on feathers shaking.
The pale man rubbed over one of his tattooed arms, "I just started to remember who I was.. or who I thought I was..." Because wasn't he also a horseman? He looked and felt like one.. maybe that had been a dream.. It wasn't like it hadn't happened before.
"I came looking for you." Bix looked genuinely relieved to have found Gale as well.

"I'm just an assistant here, apparently, not a relative," said Jinhai, a little dryly, as Bix poked his arm. "That's bizarre; I wonder - are there more hunters here as well? Do they all have their weapons with them?"
He lifted a hand, flexing his fingers experimentally, and Gale caught the faint look of wistfulness and longing on his face before hastily redirecting his attention back to Bix. "Oh - War. Not Famine, then. I'm very obviously Conquest, I suppose..."
Gale was frowning. "What on earth happened? Why are we like this?"
"Mina doesn't seem to know she's not a horseman.." Bix frowned. It was strange not having her in his head, instead walking around, but she wasn't a golem either. "I haven't gotten around much to see anyone so I'm not sure who else is here but there's a lot of people.." The pale man's face furrowed.
"Are we on a mission or.. is this like those other dreams and things?" He didn't remember a mission. He seemed to remember most of his life except what brought them here. He also remembered his horseman life as well and it was a bit disorienting.
"I'm not sure of anything but I'm damn happy I found you.." He looked around at the conquest rooms, "Nice digs tho?"
