Robert was given a clipboard, a form, and a job he kind of liked. Inventory! That meant he got to open up boxes like presents and see what was inside. He'd prepared for this day his entire life.

The first box was huge. Almost his height! Robert carefully opened it up by the side, and found a grandfather clock inside just as it was indicated. It was in perfect working condition, and very fancy. It made Robert want to have one of his own.
He wrote down that this particular item was in perfect condition (and really cool).

The next box was much smaller. Robert sat down cross-legged on the ground and opened up the box from the top. He started taking everything out, piece by piece, and checking off the items on the list. Once he was done, he nodded, happy to see it was complete-
Then he realized there was one checkbox that hadn't been marked. Forks. There were no forks.
He wrote that down, and put everything back just as carefully as he'd taken it out. Why would a set like this miss an entire set of forks?

Robert hopped to his feet to check on one of the large boxes. This one was also supposed to have a grandfather clock in it. And it did, but it looked like this one caught the brunt of the delivery square in the face. Its glass was broken. He wrote that down on his clipboard, and closed up the box before any broken glass could get out.

Another silver dinner set was found in a fourth box. He opened it up and took the same care and time with this one as he did with the first. And sure enough, once more, the forks were missing.
Who was this dastardly forks bandit and what were his devious plans with the utensil, Robert wondered? Perhaps an attack by a mob of really tiny people was in the works over at the Embassy.

Robert moved on to the next box, immediately noting that it had a Cavalry label on it. He whistled for the part-timers, and ordered them to stack it in the corner.
Before they'd gotten it up in their hands, Robert had moved on to the next box and realized this one had the label too. He called out to them, and let them know they'd have to come back immediately for this next one.

Robert honestly thought he'd find another set of missing forks in this next dinner set. Instead, he found all the forks there and intact, but a giant gouge in the serving platter. Well, at least no one was going to use these forks for evil. He made a note about the gouge, and handed in his work for the day.
