Joy didn't want to leave Clyde. He was one of the few people on the island she liked and trusted and felt comfortable with. And knowing that he was here was making this whole s**t-show a little more tolerable. But they were still pretending to be Horsemen and if her memory served her right, she was usually hanging out with her fellow War Horsemen.
Specifically one big-a** War Horseman that goes by the name of Rayu. She needed to know if he was a Hunter or not. But, did she really? She was still flying in Dusk, making a halfhearted attempt to locate the aforementioned War Horseman.

Rayu didn't consider himself that big and his a** certainly wasn't. Just a normal a** thank you very much.
Rayu had managed to calm one of his friends down and was currently up in the air near the crystal. It seemed to be the source of some of the cage, and he needed to figure out how to break it. Not just for himself anymore but for the cute ghoul was was looking for her friends and unable to find them.
It might mean he wouldn't see her again after all this but she would be home and happy, and that was important.
is mind was occupied on trying to get out and he didn't notice his war buddies approach at first. He had forgotten temporarily that war had a lot more teamwork involved than he was used to. He was a free spirit.
And he looked to be deep in thought, staring at the crystal.

Rayu- journal Clan: War - Warrior Arcana: The Magician (Group A) wild arcana Description: Rayu is about 6'1" with black hair and wings with a green tint. He looks like a he that just waltzed out of the jungle and is wearing war paint and no shirt when not in human mode. (which is whenever possible) His alt form is a big black Panther and his humanoid mode sometimes matches.
In Joy's opinion, if you were at least a foot taller than she was, you are big-a** (and if she was in a better state of mind, she would also acknowledge that said a** looks quite nice). The crystal and the cage were only in the back of her mind, memories of Wonderland making her take a less proactive route.
But she eventually spotted Rayu and for a split-second Joy considered pretending she completely failed to notice him. She grit her teeth and shook her head, No, Joy, you gotta do this.
Steeling herself, she flew towards her War Clansman with a greeting of "Yo, Rayu." The usual wide grin was gone, replaced with a seriousness that Liya rarely made use of outside of missions.

"Liya!" he looked up from his thoughts and glanced her over. She wasn't smiling. Clearly she also was having a moment of insight into things. She probably realized she was in the cage too.
While they may not of been friends outside of the cage, they were friends now.
He flew over and hovered next to her. "I don't like cages." he frowned as he stared at the crystal, wondering how it would help him. "We gotta break it."
Joy gave the Horseman a hard, appraising look. s**t, she really had no idea what to do in this situation, did she? But there was concern about cages and breaking out. That made him sound less like a Horseman to the Hunter. "Hey, Rayu you're, I mean..." she ran her hand through her hair, "Shet, are you really Rayu or do you got, like, some other name you should be called?"
There was no avoiding it now.

He glanced at her and then grinned. "Naw I kept my name. You can keep calling me that. I take it, you are having the weird memory warp thing too. You wouldn't happen to know a ghoul by the name of Olivia? She's looking for her friends."
He paused a moment. "Oh I should ask what name you prefer too. You are my friend after all." He kept the same friendly demeanor, but his eyes kept going back to the crystal. He was concerned still. Worried because trapped was rarely a good thing.
Oh no, Joy frowned, he used the word ghoul. It only meant that he wasn't a hunter."Rayu's your real name, huh? Name's Joy. And sorry, I don't think I know any Olivia that's a ghoul."
It was disappointing to learn that the Horseman she supposedly had all this history and past with wasn't someone she actually knew. And the fact that some of the memories she had involved being intimate, Joy couldn't stop her face from suddenly turning red at the recollection.

"Ahh alright. Let me know if anyone is looking for her, ok. She seemed distressed." but he wouldn't be much help hanging around her the whole time. Getting her home seemed more the priority.
He did notice Liya-no Joy's face going a little red. That amused him. "You ok?" he rumbled in a half laugh. "Look, friend I'll go whatever pace you want to. I mean, I still consider us war buddies, even if I don't know you from the other side."
They still needed to solve this problem... man he'd miss his pony friends. Oh well, nothing for it.
Joy didn't understand how Rayu could be taking this so well. "No, no I'm not okay." she said. "We're not really War, this isn't really real, and I don't know how long we have before ALICE or Dorothy or whatever other <******** AI managed to regain control over our brains-"
The Moon Hunter was having something of a melt down in the air. Oh Joy.

She was gonna fall if she kept hyperventilating like that. She was having a melt down. That wasn't going to help anything.
He grabbed her and got them over to a building to set down, giving her something solid to put her feet on. And then he turned on her green eyes flashing with annoyance. "We won't let it. Freaking out won't help. We have to focus figuring our way out. And we can make sure we don't forget. Give me your knife."
Joy let herself be pulled to somewhere she didn't risk falling from. She was still very visibly upset. Kubyerto wasn't there, she had no idea where the other Hunters were and who they are. All she knew was ALICE was involved and that ******** AI meant trouble.
She wasn't so much as pouting as she was scowling, but she summoned her dagger, "What are you planning to do?"

Rayu took the knife. "Making sure we don't forget." he then used it to carve words out in the flesh of his left arm. Escape the cage It hurt and took some time doing it, but he figured it was worth it. This body was part of the cage anyways. It wasn't his. But he was pretty sure he bit his tongue a few times doing it.
"Damn, pain feels real by the way." He handed it back when he was done. "Now I won't forget and neither will you because you hang around me." he could write her a note too, but it freaken hurt and sucked and he wouldn't offer to do that to someone else unless they really wanted it.
Joy's eyes widened and she first tried to take away the knife from him, "Rayu, what the ********?? Sira ka ba?" she gasped. But he seemed determined to carve a message into his skin and oh no. No, he was doing this because of her?
By the time he finished mutilating himself, Joy was in tears. And not those cutesie Hollywood tears where you still looked pretty and kissable. She was ugly crying and couldn't stop herself from punching him in his (good) shoulder. "Tanga!"

"I have no idea what that means but I'm fine really." never mind the blood dipping off his arm. He didn't cut that deep. Just enough to make sure it didn't immedietly heal.
"Oh come on, it's just a cheap tattoo." he used the convenient wing on that side to puller her up against him and hug her, because his "good" arm was now applying pressure above the wound to stop it from leaking everywhere. Perhaps he should have thought this through a little more.
Bleeding wasn't exactly normal for him. Did it have to leak this much? The war side of his brain was telling that yes it did and to kept he pressure on.
She doesn't believe you. Not one bit. She looked down at what she had on, despite the tears blurring her vision, she decided to rip a strip off of her wrapped skirt (and it was so cute too). "You're a dumbass," she translated, motioning with her wings for him to show her his arm. "You bleed too much and you dissipate. And then your wound'll be all fixed up and then you'll have to do it all over agaaaaaaain." she sobbed through grit teeth.
