Dawson definitely did not like the sterile interior of Bates Diagnostics one bit. It was too clean, too white (and perhaps he was now biased about that color, sad as it was), too...shiny for what he had seen going on beyond. Not that he objected to the experiments themselves; on the contrary, Bjorn knew and understood their significance for furthering the Clans' purpose. But that didn't mean he had to like their methods. Too clinical, too...boring. It was just data and tweaking about, and he would never understand the allure of it.
Today's job was a little simpler than the last time he was here. Gene therapy was something the guardian had vaguely heard about but never investigated himself; apparently everything had some sort of number of genes in them. Seemed like splitting hairs when it came to Fear creatures, but, whatever the doc said, right?
Bjorn did preliminary examinations on his specimen for the afternoon, a healthy and small lapdog who was obedient to simple commands like sit. The horseman he was paired with gave instructions on how to administer the gene therapy, after which they both stood back. The dog seemed to tense and then looked at them with bent ears and a glimmer of teeth. The horseman nodded at Bjorn, so he supposed that was a success.

The second one, however? Just terrible. He scooted away after filling out the survey. Quote: Name & Job: Bjornbrandr, Lab Assistant Please describe how today's events made you feel emotionally. Fine? Do you think the targeted genes are useful? The one that worked was interesting yes. Did you have any ethical problems with the work done today? No.
