It was another nice, calm, beach day to add to the weekend weather. This weekend was for the Beach Conservation Fundraiser, to help after a nasty storm during the week. The beach was actually even almost spotless now, minus the still hang over teens that had stole from their parents stash. Speaking of hang-over teens. Connie groaned as she got closer to a crowd of them yelling about something, before realizing they where picking on a little girl. "Hey!" Connie yelled, as she hurried closer, not really giving the girl much time to defend herself on her own. There was only three in the group, with two looking horribly sickly from their party the night before. Backing away slightly at the newcomer, Connie went for the one who didn't seem to care, slinging her ice cream all over the boy. He started at her while the other two quickly got his arms, grumbling about how they should just go. "How dare you pick on a little girl! How dare you??" She yelled, attracting the attention of others and began kicking at them, causing them to finally back off and leave the girls be. Connie puffed out her cheeks, glaring after them, before turning her attention to the small girl they had targeted. "Are you ok??" She asked, worried for the girl. Sailor Hawk Hope this works. ;w; I tired not to make it too long or such but wanted to cover what we plotted without having to figure it out how it would go too much. XD

Dani looked up at her own protector, the anger clearing from her face and filling with shock and joy at the sight at the older girl. "Thank you so much, I was afraid that I might have taken too much this time. I may only be nine, but I usually can take care of myself and others, however it seems that I may have stretched myself too far in attempting to take three drunk teenagers. It looked bad there for a minute, until you came along." Dani sighed. She'd forgotten to introduce herself again and had just go off babbling. "Sorry, I seem to forget myself a lot." She held out her hand. "My name is Danielle Kimberly Erin Bones. But no one calls me that. Sometimes. I'm introduced as Danielle K. E. Bones. Most people call me Danielle. Friends and family call me Dani, but certain people may call me Kim, or Kimmie. Rarely, I'm called Cleo, or Cleopatra.." Dani was silent for a few seconds as she realized something, "Oh dear, I'm babbling again... I don't do that often."

Connie couldn't help but laugh, a little taken back by the young girl but happy and impressed all the same. She shook the girl's hand in return. "It's very nice to meet you Dani!" She said, sticking out her tongue a little before going on to introduce herself as well. "I don't have but one nickname that I like but my name is Connie Maria Salvatore- you can call me Connie." "So!" Connie started, smirking at the girl, "Should I treat someone's trauma with ice cream?" Sailor Hawk EDIT: Ack! gonk It looked much bigger before I press submit. lol Sorry. >.<;

Dani grinned. "I would love that. Just a moment, while I check on the baby turtles I was protecting.'' She turned to look and the grin vanished. The turtles were gone! She looked wildly around and did not see them, until she looked more towards the ocean. They were quite close to the ocean, and were doing very well. "Those little rascals." She grinned again. "They let nothing phase them. Well, then, Connie? Are we off?"

Connie's eye lite up when Dani mentioned the baby turtles, trying to peek around her to see them, though feeling the same disappointment when they weren't there. Letting out a small "aw". She smiled again though when they where spotted by the ocean. "So fast!" She laughed and gave a nod, turning to lead Dani to the ice cream stand near by. "I think I'm gonna get a big ol' waffle cone!"

Satisfied that the baby turtles were all right, Dani turned and followed her new friend, Connie to the ice cream stand. She grinned at her friend's choice. "That sounds like a delicious choice. I think I will have the Fudge Brownie Quake, it is only a $1.21 with tax, and it's really good. Is that ok? She asked Connie.

"That sounds SO good!" Connie laughed and added, "Of course!" She went over and ordered for them, even asking for extras. Paying and then waiting a bit for the sweet rewards and a "Thank you so much!" Connie hurried back over to Dani with their spoils, handing her her Fudge Brownie Quake and leading them over to a picnic table. "Enjoy!" She laughed, taking a bit bite out of hers and shivering.

After taking a bite of her sundae, Dani wiped her mouth and then asked, so what is your story? Why do you come out here?" She took another bite and shivered herself. She watched the tides come in.

Connie laughed softly at the younger girl's shiver. "Hm, well, we're always moving anyways- for my parents works, but I study Genealogy- like family tree stuff...and supposedly we have some family ties here.." She smiled, "Have you lived here long?"

Dani frowned. '''Since Christmas. I moved with my Aunt to reunite our family. My older brother and my parents have lived here for 2 years. My older sister has lived here for four. They're twins."

"Oh wow.." Connie sighed, "I'm sorry you've had to deal with that...I hope you moving here turns into a good thing." She smiled and gave Dani a little half hug squeeze.

Connie smiled, believing Dani had quite the life story already. "I'll be starting eighth grade at Horizon Institute this coming year." She said, eyes lighting up a bit. "What about you?"

Dani's face brightened. "I'm started the fourth grade at Knightside Elementary. Daddy says if I don't stop fighting, I'll end up in St. Mags, but he's joking. Dria, my sister, is in St. Mags, but I guess she has a right to be upset..." She trailed off.

Connie couldn't help but laugh a little bit. "How often do you get in fights?" She asked, genuinely curious but also trying to change the subject from Dani's sister since it seemed to upset her a little.
