There was something remarkably familiar about working for a software development company. Robert knew he'd never done work for them - or any kind of computer company - before, and yet when he walked into Pale Horse and sat down in front of the computer, he understood completely what he was doing and how to do it. He wondered if there was a spell placed on those who came to work here, that gave them the basic skills they needed in order to do this job effortlessly. He wouldn't doubt it!
Either way, he felt prepared. And this was a rarity for Robert. So he was excited!
He got to work, immediately uploading files that were given to him in order to test their viability. It only takes a few moments before his theory about being capable is proven wrong, and he uploads a file wrong, deleting important information that has to be restored by a backup once they've discovered the problem.
Oops.

After the mess is settled and they put him back to work, Robert decided he has to make up for his ineptitude. So he dives into the software given to him (most of which was not directly connected to the main servers anymore, just to be safe) and he begins to create a design for a device that would easily fit into any small crevice, and be able to be used for surveillance and detection. But this wasn't enough for him. He conscripts some of his wife's friends, the more tech oriented insects that take to her easily, and he uses them as carriers to get the devices where they need to be. It's simple, but it works - and that's what matters.
- You find a way to use the more tech oriented famine insects to carry spy devices into formerly difficult to reach places using a programmable device.
