Maebe was a little too excited to be working at the Treatment Center. She was sent to the tapeworms room, who needed to be walked. This seemed a little silly, but she was ready to help out her strange, wriggly friends in any way that they needed. So she placed a leash and collar on her first tapeworm, and got to work whispering encouragement while they slithered around the room.

Her first tapeworm walked along at a snails pace. Which seemed strange, since it was a tapeworm, and not a snail. Still, she let it go at its own pace, and encouraged it as best as she could.

Her second tapeworm seemed to follow the firsts trajectory, as well as its top speed. Maybe they left a trail that the others would try to follow? Safety, and whatnot.

The next tapeworm just sat there. It did nothing. It refused to move. Maebe wondered if it was dead. Either way, it did not want walkies.
She put it back.

Her last worm of the day proved her theory right. It moved in the same path as the first three, and at the same speed. They had a plan, these worms. She was happy to let them follow it.

She seemed fated to deal with all the wigglies, today. She was sat down in front of a tank of leeches, and she watched them wiggle, and squirm, and grow, and explode out of their tank in a rush of glass and messiness. She tried to catch them immediately, but they were too fast.

So she took her time, catching them one at a time and putting them away somewhere safe, before leaving for the day.
