Third time would definitely be a charm! The fact that she was allowed to try again was definitely a good sign. Future Husband Crane believed in her. And she wouldn't let him down again. And maybe he didn't want her to let him down again, either, because the client that sat down across from fer was a kid. It was possibly a little insulting. But even the lowest stepping stone could get you places!
Steepling her fingers, the young noble began, "I looked at your file and see some heavy investments in...fidget spinners, is it?"
In response, the young man produced two and began twirling them like a gosh dang maniac.
"I've decided not to sell the merch," he announced as he spun his way to glory. "Instead I'm gonna like...train, to spin more than any other human being in the world. I'm gonna spin them all. So like, once I break world records and have a successful YouTube channel, I'll totally be able to pay back that loan."
America gave him a neutral look and asked, "How many can you spin now, son?"
"Four," he answered, proud and defiant.
"How many do you have on you right now."
The answer was a dozen. They were piled on top of the desk and America picked one up and began spinning it, getting a feel for the thing. Then she took up another as the first continued to spin. And then another. Eventually she was basically juggling spinners that spun using fingers that were spinning spinners along with another that spun on her big toe.
It was basically a circus act. A godly circus act even if she was sure she could handle more.
Eventually the boy left the office, full of awe and fear and feeling a little bullied, to be honest. After a small lesson in humiliation, he was going to sell his merchandise like a good kid and pay back what he owed. Seeing Mr. Crane give her an approving look, America tossed her hair over her shoulder and sauntered out, a spinner in each hand.
