The elevators released Scarlett into the water pavilion but her expression did not change from its withdrawn, contemplative mask even as she stepped forward and the doors shut behind her willowy form. She had been troubled since she witnessed the crystal and no amount of relaxation or distraction seemed to be pushing the thoughts away.

What she really wanted was something else to put her focus upon and had hoped that staring at the Koi over the bridges might prove to be the right distraction, at last. Instead, her eyes swept up from the path of her own footsteps and settled immediately upon... well. Someone.

The sight of the stranger made Scarlett uneasy when she considered the pristine, beautiful archways that surrounded them and how very, very much the mare stood out from the general aesthetic she had been here to enjoy. It made every inch of her skin crawl and, though it wasn't really why she had come to the pavilions, she felt compelled at once to fix the imbalance.

"Excuse me," a pointed greeting, "are you looking for something?"
