Scarlett wasn't really sure what had compelled her to begin rifling through various supply caches other than an obvious, overwhelming need to keep her hands busy and her mind on thoughtless, easy tasks. She would usually have chosen to work but she found that her focus was shot and that, she knew, would lead to shoddy craftsmanship. A faulty product was a waste of time.

Instead she found herself rounding a sharp corner of the training course to where she thought she remembered a stash of items used in simulated battles for training. She was surprised, immediately, to find someone already there -

"Oh, excuse me?"

She drew up short so that she didn't interrupt him, but now that there was someone else around to ask -

"Have you noticed this weird.. red?"

Both of her perfect, pale eyebrows drew down over her eyes as she asked the question - she knew as soon as it rolled off of her tongue that it didn't sound that sensible but she also failed to understand exactly how to describe other than, simply, red.
